Without a doubt, Pip is my RPG buddy. We tend to think almost identically on RPGs, and together we've come up with some very...interesting plots. We both also tend to play characters who are together most of the time, so we each have a pretty good feel for how the other one writes. Of course, it also helps that we've RP'd together for almost a year now.

Aye, I believe our first RPG together was started last November. So really about 10 months, but...yeah.

I used to have an RPing buddy in my cousin - we both knew each other's characters so well that we would get into some pretty interesting situations - and a lot of our characters' personalities clashed! But she has since stopped RPing and I'm by myself. I still really enjoy it though.

I came up with an idea for an idea for a Master and Commander-ish RP, wanted to run it by anyone who'd be interested.

What if the ship is carrying important documents from England to another country I'm still working on or vice-versa. The ship is boarded by pirates, who take the chest containing the documents, thinking it's more gold. A sea chase is started to reclaim the documents.

I know it's rather sketchy, it's all I've come up with so far.

What about a kidnapping as well? Those are always fun!

What about - there's a war going on and these are tactical plans? Maybe the pirates are privateers for the opposing side?

Sweet ideas! That sounds good for a kiddnapping and the documents getting taken. I was thinking the documents were battle plans, from one army or navy commander to another.

But battle plans can be changed, if the guy in charge knows that the "documents" have been compromised; so... What one needs in a good, action-packed drama is lack of communication.

Say that the documents were taken from... The Blue Team... by Pirates who threaten to give the plans to the...Red Team... in exchange for something like letters of Marque. Now, the Blue Leader doesn't know about the stolen documents due to lack of communication, seeing as you couldn't call the Leader on the phone like today. So you have a ego-maniac Captain going after the documents so that he can claim the glory for himself instead going to the Blue Leader like a good boy.
-Now the Blue Captain wants the documents for personal glory.

-The Blue Leader, nor anyone else on the Blue Team, know that the battle plans were stolen and about to give traded to their enemy.

-The privateer/pirates who has it wants to trade it personally with the Red team for Letters of Marque(or some-such-thing) but are threatened by a Pirate Legion.

-The Pirate Legion wants the battle plans so that they can take the two battling Teams by suprise and be the ultimate victor.



So, it's all based on lack of comunication. I hope my example made sence. There has to be something that everyone wants, but can't get. You could even relate this to PotC: DMC, now that I think about it...

Blue Team: Lord Beckett
Red Team oe Pirate Legion: Davey Jones
Stupid Captain: Norington
Privateer: Jack Sparrow


I think that is the best way to describe it really.

So the "Blue Team" could be England, what about the "Red Team?" France maybe? Assuming this is during the same time period as Master and Commander.
