Will watched helplessly as Portia was bit in the neck...but he couldn't move. He felt so weak. Coughing and sputtering violently, he could only wade in the water with Maccus by his side. He tried to breathe but that only made it worse. Tears ran down the sides of Will's wet cheeks....not from pain....but just from uncontrolable coughing.

Maccus writhed in pain. The stabs that dug through his skin was painful but he could not die, until his debt was payed off, and that wasn't for another fourty years.
He went at it again, biting the side of Portia's face and tearing a chunk of skin away from her. He felt the blood run down his mouth, and he lethis mutated shark-like self take over...

Portia screamed a blood-curdling scream. She quickly started swimming, while holding her face and crying. "WILL! GO!" She screamed again and swam as fast as she could. They were getting closer to shore and Portia was losing strength fast.

Will still could not move. He felt as if he would die...right there and then.... he began to vomit in the ocean's water. By coughing so much and not being able to catch a decent breath, he made himself sick.

Portia was swimming so fast and concentrating on getting to Jack, that she didn't realize Will wasn't following her. She made it to the shore, worn out and in great pain. She yelled in pain and laid down in the sand. "JACK! GIBBS!" She screamed and felt tears slide down her cheeks, nonstop.

Maccus, attacked Will. He bit his back, and started shredding the skin. He felt the skin flap open, and the hot blood run into his mouth. An evil laugh of pure amusement escaped the creatures lungs.

Will did not scream or yell. He continued to vomit at the same time Maccus bit him. He had never experienced such horror or terror in his life. He could not breathe, he was vomiting, and he was in pain from Maccus' shark like teeth.
Blood gushed from Will's open wound. It was hot as it ran down his back and into the water.
His vision began to fail and he looked over toward Maccus before his eyes rolled back into his head. Will then passed out and sank underwater.

Maccus grinned pleasingly, revealing Will's flesh stuck in between his spikes of teeth.
His hammer-head sank underneath the blood, vomit mixed water towards the unconscious body.
He grabbed Will, and started swimming towards back to the Dutchman, but not before the mutated shark mind took over him again, making him bury his nose into Will's side, and ripping out yet another piece of skin from the body.

Will's limp body floated in Maccus' grip.
Will's eyes opened slightly, as he felt the sharp bite. He then slipped back into darkness. A deluted trail of water mixed with blood followed the two.
He began to dream of Elizabeth back at Port Royal looking beautiful. He was near her and held her soft hand.

Portia kept her hand on her face and instantly had blood cover it. She was crying in pain and sadness. She couldn't believe that Will wasn't there. She was a failure and bad friend. She heard Gibbs, but couldn't move. She was close to unconscienceness.
