I love the idea of a ball, but the time zones will be a problem, as always. I remember trying to figure out FaZ and my wedding on here, he from Poland, me from Canada...yikes! It turned out well though, and I'm sure this will. There are so many members here, there should be other people on constantly. 
I think if this goes well, we should plan to have a Middle Earth masque ball around Christmas. A masquerade full of Elves and Dwarves and Hobbits and wizards...would be crazy but so much fun!  _________________

that's what I initially meant, when I asked the question to the moddies, it would be a good idea to let it run the whole weekend.
EDIT: I'm also really worried about this ball.
This happens in a lot of RPG's, people start posting without regarding other's post and usually with no interaction excpet with thier escort, I have a feeling that's going to happen, and that people will be posting all over the place, and that it'll get so confusing and thoughtless, that it won't be fun.
I guess all I'm trying to say is that, I really want a lot of interaction between members, to make this fun.....right?

Hello again Everyone!  I just wanted to let you know, since there have been a lot of questions regarding ball times. The thread for the ball will be up from sometime Sept 21st, through Sept 23rd to allow people of all time zones access ( in other words, yes for the weekend, though our focus is the 22nd, Bilbo and Frodo's B-day, the thread won't poof at midnight like we're in Cinderella  ). That means, wherever you are in the world, for the entire day of the 22nd, the ball will be up and running, but also some beyond that as well....hope that helps with your questions!

I agree. Perhaps if it is split into several threads it would be easier to interact with others (not sure of the logistics of that though) Otherwise the threads will have dozens of posts in the same thread every minute. No-one will be able to keep up
