Mark grinned and said, "Snakes? Cool!" Apparently he was not afraid of them....
He sat up taller and tried to get a better look.

Chris watched the snakes on a distance. He didn't like the slithering animals, though he wasn't afraid. "Better not get too close, kid.." he said eying Mark closely.

Lee watched the snakes. She loved them, but she looked at there colors. Her eyes grew wide and said, "No one move...those are Black Mamba's...the fastest snakes in the world...they can give 10 times the normal vemon in one bite...don't aggitate them."

Jimmy's head looked in the direction where he thought the snakes were. "Dude, I agree with the kid, snakes are cool man!"
His head snapped back towards Mark, "Hey hey! Like remember that guy in Indiana Jones, when the snake was doing this..." here he immitated a snake choking a man by wrapping his arm around his neck, "And then the dude was like, "AAHHHH!" He pulled a nasty wrinkled face showing what the man looked like in the movie.

Mark looked over toward Jimmy and giggled. "Yeah! I saw that movie! I liked the part when that big ball started to roll towards Indie. That was cool!"
Jimmy did not know it....but Mark had now developed a small relationship with him. For a child his age, anything that someone else had in common with him, made him like them.

Lee glared at them and was about to say something when she felt something on her shoulder. She looked over at it, barely moving, breathing, or thinking as she saw an Mamba going down her shoudler, smelling her. She didn't move, but her face showed how amazed she was by these creatures. "Your beautiful, sweetheart." She whispered, for she had loved snakes ever since she could remember.

"No!" She said, sweating a little as the snake opened it's mouth...some vemon dripping on her bare skin. "You must grab it by it's neck, right behind where the ears would be...or else it can bit you...don't move towards me...I'll be ffffffffine..." She said, her voice cracking as it hissed.

Chris hand trembled as he reached, he sweated a little and tried to move as little as possible. The snake hissed and showed two sharp teeth. Suddenly Chris' hand shot out and grabbed the snake by its neck. He felt a sudden pain in his hand but it disappeared soon afterwards. He threw the snake near the entrance of the cave, breathing deep in and out while he noticed some blood on his hand.

Lee looked at Chris thankfully but then saw his hand. "Oh Chris!" She said, almost sobbing. Then, she regained her voice and said, "We need Anti-Vemon, but since we don't have any..." She looked around worriedly, "Um, I need to get the poisen out, so leeches are the best way to do it."

Chris swallowed, only now he felt his fast heartbeart.

Jimmy scooted back away from the snakes. He laughed nervously, and swallowed hard trying to still act like his cool, casual self.
"See? Just like Indiana Jones..." he gestured his eyes towards Chris.

Mark jumped as Chris removed the snake from Lee. He blinked his eyes quickly and watched helplessly. "Uh, did you get bit?" he asked innocently.
He stood up slowly and wobbled toward Chris. "I think someone needs to suck out the poison with their mouth. I watched it on National Geographic." He then smiled excitedly and said, "Can I do it?"
