Larael found herself outside before she could realise where she had taken a wrong turn. The day was fairly warm, and there were plenty of students milling about the grounds. She hated being the new person, or the odd one out, but she was feeling extremely shy and was hoping that she'd remain invisible.
She looked at her schedule once more, and realised that "Welcoming Newbies 101" was definitely over by now, and History of Hobbits" was due to start in a few minutes time. This gave her a chance to walk down a path leading towards the archery field.
It's a good thing I'm not taking that class, she thought, I'd make a complete fool of myself.
She sat down in the shade of a large tree just in sight of the archery range down the way. She took a book out of her bag, and settled in for a good read.

Caunion patiently listened as the girls carried on their conversation. It will never dawn upon him how easily girls can switch from one topic to the next. He was tempted more than once to open his book and resume reading but proper courtesy called.

Brego sat under a tree. Thankful that it was break. She open her notebook and started to write listening to other girls talk near by. She found it better to record what others were saying. So, she could find a good convestion starter, but know seem to fit. Brego turned a few pages to a fan fic she was writing but something seemed to stop her from writing.

Elenya walked outside, enjoying the sun's warmth. She glanced around at the students. She saw one girl reading a novel. Elenya walked over. "Jane Eyre?" she said to the girl. "I just read that one."

Melda checked her watch and rose, shrugging a little. "Archery is probably starting," she explained hastily. "It was - er - nice meeting you!"

Amoniel walked outside after her class. She had an open period, although she was thinking about switching into archery. She sat down next to an old looking tree and took out Harry Potter: The Order of the Pheonix (her favorite book) and started reading it.

Larael looked up several times from her book, Eragon, [which she had finally got her hands on after a long wait] and watched as a lone boy would walk by followed by a group of giggling girls. There didn't seem to be many males around now that she thought of it. She brushed some leaves off her bag and continued reading, barely noticing the time before it was too late. Only a few minutes and she'd be late to class. She stuffed Eragon in her bag hurriedly, and dug around for her school map. It wasn't there.
She let out a sound of frustration, and began taking the contents out of the bag, throwing them this way and that across the lawn. The bell rang. Her first class of her first day, and she was already late.

Amoniel went off to her favorite class, History. She stood up brushing leaves off her pleated skirt and book bag and walked to class.

Anduril rolled her eyes at Cunrion as the other girls sat down near them. God she was pleased to have her own area now. She didn't think she could have born another year of communal study. As the girls struck up a conversation she lay back down and procceded to ignore them.
