Meleth shot a grateful glance at Eruraina and ran down the hallway with Atalante. Shoving her other knife into the human girl's hand, she skidded into the room where she'd left her bow and snatched it up, fitting an arrow to the string.

Atalante clumsily fought off this new onslaught, her dark eyes wide and panicked.

Eruraina gritted her teeth. There were to many spiders attacking, and to less a warrior to fight them off. Putting her back lip behind her teeth, Eruraina wistled high. Soon the screech of an eagle answered, and a big golden eagle came flying into the castle, and was clawing and bighting, or in other words helping killing, the spiders.

Eruraina cut off a spider's leg, and it's blood sprayed all over her. With a shreak, Eruraina stabbed the spider in the head killing it. She turned, and a spider bit her in the leg. Clenching her teeth, she tore it off with her hand, and killed it with her sword.

((does anyone know if the spiders are poisonous?))

Soon, the spiders on the siblings' end of the hallway finally stopped being replaced, and Elwen went about, quickly gathering up her arrows, while Aradan wiped the spider blood off his sword.

When the spiders on Eruraina's side stopped being replaced, she put her swords away, and leaned her back against the wall, and slid to the ground. She pulled her leg pand up and showed a bad bight, and the skin around it was turning a sickly yellow. Eruraina took a rag from her pocket and put it over it and put pressure on it to stop the bleeding...

"Get some elves to clear away the spiders, right?" Elwen asked shortly, shoving her arrows back in her quiver and looking at Aradan, who was leaned up against a wall.

"Yes.."

Eruraina stopped the bleeding, but felt the poision getting to her blood stream. She reached into a bag on her belt and took out some Kingswirl. The weed she put on the wound, that would slow down the poision injection, and stop the swelling. Ripping a bit of cloth from her cloak like she usually did, she made a quick bandage and got up.

The dead spiders allready were starting to reek with death. Eruraina limped back to the brother and sister.
"I think we should burn these spiders... the carcases could cause desease... so I've heard..."

By then, Elwen had gone and returned with a handful of elves, who began clearing away the spider carcasses. "They will be burned." she said in response to Eruraina's statement.

Elenriel raced through the halls, her long raven hair flying behind her. She was clad in a green elven tunic, her bow and quiver of arrows secured firmly at her back. She bore a deep scratch on her temple from her recent battle with orcs near the front. Her sapphire eyes widened for a brief moment as the carcasses of the spiders were taken past her. So there has been another skirmish. she thought as she shook her head at the severity of their situation. Their warriors were spread to thin. It would only be a matter of time before…she dared not finish the thought.

Seeing Elwen, she quickly hurried to tell her more news. “A wave of orcs has been pushed back, but more are advancing near the boundaries of the palace.” She replied quietly. “More guards may be needed to augment those already fighting-though we will hold out without any reinforcements for as long as possible as it seems spiders have broken through some of our defenses.”

Hearing this, Elwen's expression turned grim. "I will make sure reinforcements are sent, and I'll go, as well." Turning to Aradan again, she gave him a look that dared him to argue, but surprisingly, he merely nodded his agreement.
