Raven couldn't help but laugh at his stumbling over what to call the ship. "I'm sorry.." she said, making herself stop laughing after a few seconds. "That just struck me funny..no offense meant, of course."

Almost despite herself, Raven found herself smiling again, though it soon faded. "If I hang around you long enough, that may just become a natural thing for me to do again." she said quietly, brushing a few stray strands of hair out of her face.

Thyiri rolled her eyes again, still facing the sea. This was far too sappy for her - though perhaps she was just anxious at finally coming to where she'd wanted to be all her life. She restlessly fingered the U tattoo on the inside of her wrist.

((hey! melda! your back! ))
Tynel's brow creased, but he found himself smirking. He quickly shook it off. Something must be wrong with him. He then looked to the capital again, which had moved little from it's spot on the horizon.

Beginning to feel bored with the waiting again, Raven turned and walked back over to the railing again, though instead of looking down into the murky waters below, she cast her gaze to the direction from which they had come, where the water glimmered crystalline blue and glinted brightly from the light of the sun.

((I guess not, I think I just RP at 3000000 miles and hour... 1 day can seem like 3 sometimes...))
Tynel walked up to Thyiri,
"Something wrong? You look very anxious."

((Lol, but I admire that in a person - the ability to RP 3 million miles an hour! Tee hee))
Thyiri jumped a little, not expecting to be talked to. "Nothing," she said, sounding more than a little defensive, a response that was directly contradicted by her very stiff posture and stance. She made a concerted effort to relax, and it helped slightly. She unconsciously tugged at her right sleeve. "Why?"

Tynel looked at her causiously.
"Nothing, you just looked nervous, or absent minded."

"Well, I'm - not," replied Thyiri defensively, and looked back towards the city. "Not - much, anyway."

Tynel nodded.
"I think we all are." He then walked away to go and fiddle with some of the riggings.

Thyiri's eyes followed him for a moment, frowning in annoyance. She would have to be less obvious, if even he could notice her anxiety.

Dalen let out a small sigh of relief, a very small smile touching his lips as he sagged slightly, the tension of the last hour leaving him. They were beyond the third reef. It's a good thing they didn't know I wasn't 100% sure that I was actually going through the gaps, he thought to himself. There hadn't been any need for everyone to panic, so he kept that bit of nerve-wracking information to himself. If they thought that I might be about to crash the ship on the rocks... Still, it was better than if one of them had tried it. He shuddered at that thought. "We're clear!" he shouted across the deck.

Tynel looked up when he heard Dalen's voice.
"Thats good!" he replied, very a-matter-of-factly he then turned somewhat serious, though he sounded quite pathetic.
"Does that mean we will pick up some speed?" He still looked up at Dalen, waiting for an answer. Because I am tired of waiting. Ty thought to himself, he hoped he would gain some patience in the near future.

"Aye, that it does," Dalen replied to Tynel, knowing it wouldn't be by a lot, but it would still be better than nothing, now that they didn't have to be so cautious for fear of running aground. He himself wasn't bored at all, just relieved.
The water slowly got clearer as they sailed towards the Island, and Dalen soon had half his mind concentrating on sailing and half on watching the shadows and shapes in the water. He raised his eyebrows as his eyes caught sight of a larger shark than normal, and he whistled to himself, as it tore into a school of fish. "There hasn't been one that big in a couple years," he muttered. A moment later, another, larger silhouette shot towards the predator from the direction of the reef, and Dalen's jaw dropped as he saw the shapes of tentacles writhing around where the creature's mouth would be. "Incredible," he whispered, watching the spectacle. Those writhing tentacles shot out, seizing the the shark and pulling it closer to the sea monster. The shark struggled, tearing at the tentacles, a cloud of red blood floating to the surface, but the tentacles stretched apart, and suddenly the shark was in several pieces. Dalen thought his jaw might just hit the deck. Consuming the remnants of the shark, the monster turned back towards the reef, a powerful tail propelling it forward, along with dorsal, ventral, and pectoral fins. "Incredible," he said again. He looked back towards the deck and saw several of the others watching the creature swim away. "Do you think anyone will believe us?" he asked Tynel, one of the ones who had seen it. It was likely that they would just be considered liars, though good ones.
