Halarond gathered his men together.
"Are we ready? he said. "The Lady Eruraina will be in charge of the army while I am gone. The army, and the Lady, has my orders to march as far as carrock, then onto the gladden feilds, but no further until our return." he paused. "If- If we do not return within two weeks, The Lady Eruraina will be the new commander of the army, and she will decide how to go about the seige of Mirkwood."

Eruraina listened to Halarond comanding the men. She nodded, and went to call her horse. When she did so, she gave Fuin a good rub down, and stretched the horse's legs to get her ready for the long ride ahead. Then she tacked her up, helped the men pack all their stuff up. She hoped that they could be ready fast enouph to depart in that direction at the same time as Halarond and Aearion.

She mounted and lifted her right arm and whistled. Hen flew down and landed on her arm. Using her left arm, she put a ring on the eagle's leg, it was small enouph to stay on the leg and not fall off, and had a bell on it.
"Hen, I need you to go with Lord Aearion. He is one that cannot see, so you need to be his eyes. Go with him, and help him and his companions. Go." she wispered to him, and sent him off again, the bell jingling in the wind.
Eruraina rode over to Aearion.
"Lord Aearion, I have put a bell on Hen so you can hear were he is. I hope thee have a safe passage, and may luck be on your side on your travels..."

Aearion turned his head as he listened to Eruraina.

"Many thanks m'lady, I will try and make it up to you someday. And to Hen too." He smiled as he mentioned the eagle, who then sent a piercing cry downward. Aearion then mounted his steed, who was as black as horses can get, rather fitting really, for darkness was all Aearion could see. His horses name was Morel, and though it sounded like a dark and dreadful name, Morel was quite loyal and smart, as many horses are.

"Morel, I need you to follow Lord Halarond and Lord Tulmind. They are friends and allies to the throne of Mirkwood." Aearion whispered into his horse's ear, but then felt a shudder go through Morel's body as another cry came from above. "Do not heed the eagle, mellon nin, he is a friend also, he is going to be my eyes on this journey. With your help of course."

Eruraina smiled at Aearion's trust in his companions. Being blind, there was a bigger chance of being betrayed, but he trusted them. Sundenly a pang of sorrow hit her. He had trust, just as Locien had trust in his companions. Her heart sunk and Eruraina looked at the ground. Then shaking her head she swallowed hard. She couldn't think about him, thinking about him would get rid of her concentration, and make her weak, and she didn't want that.
"Please stay safe..." she wispered...

They were at last assembled, and Halarond spoke lastly to Eruaina. "Follow as swiftly as you may, over the mountains to the Gladden fields." he said, and then added "Commander." he put his hand on her shoulder and smiled at her.
"Namariae, Mellon." he said.
"Until we may meet again." he finished, then turned and mounted his Horse.
9 of them set out in total. (Ironic, Halarond thought, chuckling to himself). The three Lords, 4 of Halarond's finest and a few Lorien Elves that Tulmind had persuaded to come along. They all had Mounts, so this expedition would not take as long as it seemeth to. That is what Halarond thought.
He mounted, and said "We go! May the blessings of Eru and Illuvatar be upon you!" he said as a parting to those whon were staying, turned his Horse, and Led the Company.

((ha, you knows whats funny? Since my most played rpg character is Eruraina, the same as my A-U name... Well, for short people call me Eru, and you say 'may bhe blessings of Eru be apon you... it's like saying may my blessings be apon you, lol))

Eruraina watched them leave, and waited for the army to finnish packing up. She rode around camp, instructing people on what to do. When the army was all set, Eruraina led the long march tward Dul Goldur...

Aearion caught Erurain's quiet plead and he smiled softly,

"Don't worry M'lady, we will all stay safe, as long as you do the same. The army will be nothing with out you, Commander." Aearion's grin widened as Morel turned to follow the other horses as his master had bid him. Aearion gripped the reins slighly tighter as the company sped up.

Eruraina smiled, and watched them ride away, ahead of the group.
Comander... I thought I'd never see the day when I'd be called comander. she thought, and sat straighter in the saddle...

As they rode, Aearion briefly wondered where they were, and what route they were taking, and made a mental note to ask Halarond later. But not right now, Aearion was enjoying the peace and quiet, all that could be heard was the beating of hooves agaist soft ground, and the wistling of trees, playing in the wind. But that was all he heard, besides that, silence. And that was saying alot for Aearion, being an elf, he would ussally hear alot, but also being blind, his hearing was hightened, and he heard even more than a normal elf - No, not normal, just a seeing elf. Aearion had come to hate the word 'Normal'. When he was an elfling, he heard that word about 10 hundred too many times. It was probably an exageration, but it sure seemed that way. Aearion was brought out of his thoughts by the jingling of a bell somewhere above him, and knew that Hen must be flighing over.

Tulmind had already had a head start in front of the group. He always had his staff up in a defensive postion. If the black figure were to come back and fight him it would have the elment of suprise, and that would probably kill him. He looked back and still saw the horses and his two companions. It was a welcome sight until he heard a rustle in the leaves up ahead. He whiped himself around just in time to doge a punch from the dark figure. His stave was a little too long for such close quaters but he did not have time. He tried to get as much momentum as he could in this one blow. WHACK! The dark figure made a solid hit as did Tulmind but his stave had more effect than a punch. The dark figure lay on the ground ready to get up but Tulmind had already used the power of its punch to send him running back to his compainons. He ran as fast as he could down the path. The figure was too fast for him to outrun it, he would have to use some tricks. He cursed at himself for wandering so far from the others, he could run almost as fast as Harlonds horse could sprint but still the dark shadow was faster. He pulled out his bow and called for an arrow of Tharnquil and truned on one heel, fired and kept spinning on his heel and ran again. He had knicked the shadow but still hadn't slowed it. He called for another arrow to shoot into the sky to call for his friends but his little bit with trying to slow the shadow down gave it more time to catch up and it smashed him in the back of the head. He fell and the ground came up fast, he went into a roll and came back up with his staff out and he swung at the figure once again but it was ready and rolled out of the way but that was all the time Tulmind needed to start running down the next hill. The path ahead turned almost excatly around and on an incline. He was going back so he was going down hill and also too fast. He started to stumble as the shadow gained speed. Tulmind saw his companions far below and in an attemp to get away from the shadow he gave one last mighty heave with his stave and pushed him self off of the ridge to the path below. He heard for just a second the sweet whistle of the wind in his ears, but it was too long and he realized that the path below was farther down then he had calculated. He slamed in front of the horse and on the path. Rolling over just as much as he could try he pointed a feeble finger up to the ridge knowing what would come down after him.

Aearion heard a thump nearby, and dismounted, and then followed the sounds of someone breathing heavily, and he founde Tulmind, laying on the road.

"Tulmind? What happened?" Without waiting for an answer, Aearion heaved the man up on his feet, and then lead him back to his horse. He then scanned his arms, legs, and torso for any sign of injury, he was fine, save two cracked ribs. But nothing fatal.

Just as he was going to tell Tulmind of his injuries, A shadow passed over Aearion's mind.

"Halarond, is there anything that is-" He was cut off by Hen, who sounded a cry, but not a casual one, it was a cry of warning. Hen then flew right over Aearion's shoulder, and to his left, apparently trying to snatch at something. Aearion's brow creased, trying to figure out the situation.

Halarond leaped from his horse and ran over to the two figures on the ground.
"WHAT HAPPENED?!" he shouted, but before they could answer, he had ordered the entire group to make formation and ready their bows.

Aearion was about to answer when Halarond ordered for bows. Not good.

"HEN!! Hen?!" Aearion drew his sword, not knowing what they were up against. He wracked his brain, trying to remember how Eruraina called the eagle, he then remembered her wistling before hen flew into the air with his bell. Aearion tryed to mimick the tone that Eruraina had, and he soon heard the jingle of a bell, and held out his arm. Hen landed on the leather vembrace that was strapped to Aearion's wrist.

"Please, mellon nin, help me." With that, Hen flew away, seemingly understanding what the elf was asking him. Aearion stood with his sword drawn, with the reassuring jingle of Hen's bell.

(listen if you guys want tulmind to answer you with like a sentance i really dont care.... you can always edit posts)
Tulmind's head ached. He looked up to see Aerion. He had made it, but when he took a sigh of relief he was cut short by a sharp stab in his chest. His breath came in short heavy gasps, yes he had made it but with cracked ribs. His exhale was the same way. "I....." the sharp pain stabed again as he tryed to answer their questions. "Shadow.... I ra...." there was simply no way that he could possibly tell them anything. He held his hand out for his staff and Aerion picked it up for him. When Tulmind fell he fell on his legs first and then the rest of his body slammed down after so he could not use his legs. He leaned mostly on Aerion and some on his staff but his bow still lay on the trail and his belt with his scimitars were beside it. He would need Aerion's healing skills badly and if he didn't one of the broken ribs could puncture his lungs or heart. He knew only one thing.... Aeron would have to cut into him with no pain killing weed like athelas. Tulmind stopped Aeron from setting him down and he tapped his leg. Aeron did not understand so Tulmind pointed to his foot and mustered a word ".....boot." Aeron followed his finger to his boot and removed it. In the side of the boot was what Tulmind wanted Aeron to find. His black jasper dagger. Aeron looked at the fine crafted weapon and then back at Tulmind. Tulmind's eyes were as wide as they could go with fear pushing them farther... his gaze was at the blade of the dagger. Aeron would have to prove his worth.

(I'm very srry Star_Gazer, i didn't want to "power play" Aeron but i tryed not to have any dioluge. I hope you'll forgive me and that i didn't do anything that he wouldn't)

(Your not power playing, Tulmind...)

Halarond, after securing the immediate area, went over to Tulmind.
"Are you alright?" he asked him.
