Aearion nodded, listening intently.
"Alright. It couldn't have been a lethal dose of poison, but you still need to take it easy for a while. Get some rest." Aearion's head turned as he heard Hen's bell, as he had caught himself some late dinner. He briefly wondered where Eruraina was, but dismissed the thought. He hoped her journey was going safely.

Halarone rose and called everyone together.
"We will cross the mountains this day. We will not rest, so Tulmind. You are now faced with a choice. Either to come with us as you are, or to go back to the army. I will spare someone to accompany thee, if you wish."

"I am fine really. My chest is healing and I have my stave, I can do this." Tulmind claimed. He was placed up against a tree so he didn't need to worry about it hurting when he got up. He pushed with all his might on his stave as he rose, he was up. He tryed to walk but his right leg was almost numb. He hid it well though and started to walk around the camp.

"Well, we will ride now." Halarond said. And found his horse, which was roaming the wodds.

Aearion's blind gaze followed Tulmind's footsteps as he walked aound camp. He was doing much better than Aearion would have expected. Aearion then turned his attention to Halarond's statement. Yes, they would ride... If Aearion could remember where the horses were. They had been very quiet lately and he had forgotten where they were.
"Lord Halarond, this may sound silly, but could you please point me in the right direction of the horses I-" He was cut of by Morel's loud neigh. Aearion smiled and walked towards the stallion. "Nevermind." He patted his horse on the nose, "Hannon le, mellon nin."

Tulmind figured that he should ride also scince he could not really walk as good as he made it seem. So he went over to were they had kept some of the horses and picked one out that would suit him.

They set forth, riding up the foothills of the mountains. It was rough ground, but these were Elven horses, and they did not go astray. But it was slower going now.
They rode for the entire day without rest, for they now needed haste. They reached the snow level of the mountains, and Halarond stopped his horse.
"There is room and shelter for us to rest until sunrise here, for if we go any further by night, we will surley perish on the dangerous roads up there, and Horses do not like to ride blind." he said.

Aearion nodded, and quietly chuckled at Halaronds statment, "And horses do not like to ride blind."

"Forgive me." Halarond said. "I spoke before I thought."

"Tis alright, Lord Halarond, it is none offending. It is amusing if anything." Aearion said as he dismounted and let Morel graze. "How many more days do you think we will travel before reaching Mirkwood's borders? Because I think that Eruraina and the army will beat us there by at least a day or so."

"No, my lord. they are travelling a lot slower than we. Some horses they have, but most of the force is on foot. We are already a day in front of them, and I have sent a message back to the army to be wary of the road where we were attacked." Halarond replied curtly.
"I fear it will be no less than three days of hard riding yet, for we must cross the High pass, then down, to carrock, and then into the Mirkwood."

"Aye, I am sorry, I had forgotten that they lacked horses. When we reach Mirkwood, my friend, Nestarion, will aid Tulmind. He has been in the healing arts far longer than I. He taught me acctually."

Tulmind smiled at them but it soon was wiped off his face by another flash of sauron's eye. He knew sauron had been destroyed but what if it was another evil doers way of communicating. Tulmind decided to let the borders of his mind come down a little. "You stray far from your home, Tulmind." came a voice in his head. "Not so far for a ranger, how do you know my name?" he asked the voice not really ecxpecting an answer. "You will know soon enough. You know that you cannot win this war so why do you go?" the voice questioned. "I will not tell a mysterious voice that i cannot even see!" he yelled in his mind and pulled away from the conversation... or so he thought. "If I want you to talk, you will talk." the voice stated angyly at his attempt to pull away which seemed to Tulmind as if he had weakened the person. Instead of answering he tryed to pull away again. He did not know it but he shook his head around viciously if as he were literally fighting with him. "YOU WILL TALK FOOL!" the voice screamed. Tulmind kept pulling out and kept struggling. He was also sweating and he finally managed to pull out but was knocked uncousios instantly which was a side effect with ending a mental conversation that way.

Eruraina rode infront of the army. She had walked on foot, leading her horse, all day, and now she rode as night fall came. She started singing, to get rid of the uncomfortable silence.
"Apon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!"
her singing echoed through the mountains, so it seemed, and she was joined by others.
"Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Toward the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Leth them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!"
Now the whole army had joined in to sing the song...
"Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We'll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, clud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and landp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!"

(GREATsong, one of my favourites!)
Halarond saw this, and soothed his wornds in more Athelas. Then he called Aearion over to use his healing skills some more on him. "This is not right, he should be healing by now!"

Aearion shook his head, utterly confused,
"I-I don't know... He then placed a hand on Tulmind's forehead, and used his senses that he had honed to perfection in his blindness to try and figure out what was wrong. He closed his eyes, and soon a furrow knit itself in his brow, and then Aearion's eyes shot open.
"Halarond, we need to get him to Nestarion, now."
