Broken Heart
A broken heart feels like...
an extinguished fire, nothing left
but dark ashes and smoke,
you're not able to breathe,
not able to feel anything but pain,
not able to speak anymore...
It feels like...
broken glass, and its splinters
are piercing your heart,
every single part of your soul,
your mind and body,
until nothing works anymore...
It feels like...
a walk in the desert,
no water near you,
and the thirst is the only thing you can feel...
It feels like...
drowning in a deep ocean
with no hope of rescue anymore...
It feels like...
total hopelessness, nothing and no one
there for you to catch you...
A broken heart is the worst thing
that could ever happen to you
and you cannot escape...

Wow that was very nice.  I can relate to manny of those feeelings and I would concure with the acuracy of those words. Nice job.

Thank you, too, Arya! The funny thing with this poem is that I made it up at school... somehow I thought of that line 'Love hurts' and it wouldn't let me go...  That brought me to my next poem, the last one I posted...  _________________ <center>
