Kalma smiled as the two dragons and their riders had obviously no clue where their enemies were, Kalma knew and he could let them do the job for him. They could break in and make a whole lot of noise as Kalma would steal what he could to determine where this crystal was.

A good plan The voice of Garthag ringed in his head as he knew that the dragon had in mind.

Kalma stopped his invisibility appearing on the ground near the hideout entrance, he gazed up at the sky towards Sorac and Yira awaiting them to spot him. A white dragon was quite clearly regonizable out of the different coloured ground that surrounded him.

Kendath phlegmatically ignored the others. His hand resting lightly on Demon's powerful neck, he continued walking.

"I, too, would like to toy with the human female once business is completed."

"Be my guest," he replied without much interest.

"Their incessant bickering is unseemly in a dragonrider pair." Demon jerked his triangular head at Evlyn and Jemx.

Kendath merely shrugged.

Eventually they came upon a vast cavern large enough for a score of dragons. The cavern was warm, stifling so, due to the tiny veins of magma that ran along the stone walls. The magma gave off a vermilion, hellish glow. The entire cavern connoted the interior of a volcano.

Merrin stubbornly ignored Evlyn and Jemx as they walked, every so often glancing up out the corner of her eye to make sure she was in no immediate danger of being decapitated. She was almost gasping for air by the time they reached the cavern - being from a rather cold climate she was extremely unused to the stifling warmth.

"Calm down Jemx" replied Evlyn her eyes narrowed, However her hand was straying toward her swrod longinly "What do you mean by unseemly Demon, who are you to decided the protocol on how a dragon and a rider talk to each other. We're not all so harmoniuse and good as you two"
Exactly Evlyn, just becuse we work out all the angles of a situation out-loud dosn't mean that you have the right to tell us we're unseemly.
"We have more stlye than both of you put together."

Unperturbed, Kendath only shrugged again without much interest.

Demon's reaction, however, was far more fiery. "I tell you you're unseemly because you are. How the more effective your attacks would be if you coordinated them together instead of arguing?"

"Demon..."

"And what does style matter as long as our enemies writhe in pain at our feet - "

"Demon." He lay a soothing hand on his fuming dragon's neck. Turning around to face Evlyn, he ducked his head in tacit apology.

"Efective" Evlyn lept off her dragons back her sword drawn We move as one Demon Jemx stepped up behind her, his eyes flashing.
"The ways in which we think with each other may be diffrent but they got us the Crystal."

They both stood side by side, united by thier diffrences.

Demon rumbled menacingly and crouched behind his rider. In stark contrast, Kendath appeared quite calm, his hand resting on the hilt of his jeweled falchion. His other hand slowly extracted the parchment titled "Secrets of the Star Crystal."

"Agreed. We've both put our exertions into the cause. Forgive my dragon. You should know by now that he becomes... temperamental."

"Temperamental?" the bestial black dragon flared. Nonetheless, at length he shook his head and moved on into the vast volcanic cavern.

Kendath gave Merrin a firm push and turned to follow.

Merrin swallowed and kept walking, eyes shifting uneasily from side to side. How would Wyvern ever find her inside this - whatever it was? She shot a sideways glance at Kendath, and wondered if the hidden door was hard to open from inside - perhaps she could make a run for it?

Kendath unsaddled Demon and released him to roam free within the vast cavern and intricate tunnel systems branching out from it. Their telepathic link would trace them back to each other should the need arise.

Deciding to trust Evlyn for the time being, he handed her the Secrets of the Star Crystal before going off with Merrin into a small side chamber. He beckoned for her to seat herself on a small ledge that served as a chair.

"So. What's your dragon called?" he began conversationally.

Merrin sat, but looked at him before answering, an eyebrow raised as though calculating. "He's called Wyvern," she said slowly, as though thinking it really couldn't hurt. "Why?"

Shrugging seemed to be Kendath's habitual excuse for evading a question. He found his curiousity vaguely piqued nonetheless. "Why help the gods?" he asked. "Do you not desire... a respite from their tyranny?"
