Turwaithiel and her horsed backed up. Turwaithiel's gripped her sword even tighter. "I am sorry, my friend, but I have no feelings towards you in such a way. I am sorry." She then turned and went further into the city.

[waiting for love like winter to post but...]
They clopped down more deserted streets and dark alleys, stumbling upon the occassional mutilated body. Gradually, a sense of urgency grew upon them, as if an unseen, inimical presence was watching.
So perfectly did the wraiths blend into the shadows that Knyn walked directly into the ambush before ever realizing it.
Keening shrieks pierced the night air as no less than five wraiths descended upon him. Knyn unsheathed his greatsword in a fluid motion, tugging the reins as his horse reared up in fright.

"Something comes, my lady." Meneldor said, cocking his head to listen. "Can you hear that?" A shrik, this time louder came from the shadows nearby.

(sorry i'm in Conneticut right now... for thanksgiving.. i'm on my grandpa's comp and it is soooo SLOW!!!)
Raelin looked at the wraiths smuggly..
"Here we go again,".... he mubled to himself as he unsheathed his two spiked swords and held them at the ready.
He smirked, and then slid off his horse.

Turwaithiel reeled her horse to the left as the wraiths where upon them. "Bloody..." She cried as the wraiths where quicker and quieter than she expected. She hoped the others where alright.

The mage cast a light spell, but this was more defensive than offensive, to help turwaithel fight them.
"You kill them as I stun them with my light!" he said to her, and sent the light as a beam into the face of the front wraith.

It all became clear to him then - somehow the Death Lord had found out their plans. But now how were they to get the talisman to the priestess of Rokaria? Yet something... his intuition perhaps... told him to proceed on to the temple of Rokaria in the center of the city.
Knyn heard another shriek from a few streets down and wheeled his steed around. "Rejoin with the others! Then on to the temple!"

He killed a couple more wraiths and then remounted his horse.
"Do you think we'll get the chance to slit some throats at the temple??"

Pointedly ignoring the sarcasm, Knyn replied with a shrug, not mentioning that he was actually implying the temple to be a safe haven.
