Truth be told, I think that Eragon just needs to get his act together and do his duty. He must understand that he does not get all the luxuries that every other person does. He can go after pretty girls later, but now there is tyranny spreading across the land like wild fire that he must stop. He needs to realize that he must put his life on hold to save everyone elses'.
That doesn't mean that he can't have a bit of fun everynow and then, it just means that he cannot even have a girlfriend much less even think about marrying, having kids, or settling down! Time is the ulitmate enemy and he needs all the time he can get.
When one must play the part of 'Greatest Hero of All Time' one cannot refine one love life whilst saving the world.

Well spoken, indeed. True enough, he can find a girl later(preferably not someone like Arya..*coughs* Not going into a rant here, but I just don't..think they go together.)

Yeah..people have certain ideas about him, and just don't like him nearly as much as other characters..*coughMurtaghcough*

And yeah, that's the one definitive thing I've noticed as I've read the Eragon thread in Movies and TV. They have so many different opinions of Eragon, and some of them not very pleasant.
But to each his own. I know I like Eragon's character, and nothing's going to change that, not even negative opinions of him. _________________ <center>

Oh, I agree!
I love Eragon's charactor. I love how as he is dragged into something he can't escape, he doesn't turn all "I'm going to be the bravest person in the world" mode or "I am unstoppable!" ya know?
He still has his doubts and he contiunes to learn and become braver...that's what i like about him...someone you can relate too, nto just another hero*
*sidenote...I think Mutagh is like that too  * _________________
