"Tomato, tohmato, same difference." the boy, Aaron, said with a shrug, then smirked. "Yeah, sure." he replied, in reference to joining them, and stepped inside the compartment, closing the door behind him.

"By the way, if you haven't heard, Gryffindor has a new Quidditch captain. That's one thing I learned while..erm..checking out the girls around here."

Taking his seat, Aaron propped his feet up on the open seat across from him, before replying, nonchalantly, "Our cousin Allison. She's already told me we're shoo-in's for Beaters, but we still have to try out. Oh, and along that same line, Aidan's Slytherin's captain now."

"Exactly." Aaron replied with a slight smirk. "We won't have to make all that much effort to 'get on the team', as we can easily outfly the competition, especially in tandem. And mum and dad didn't think all the Quidditch practice was going to do us good in school.."

Shade sighed. "I know...but it is so much more fun..." He said, sighing. Bryce also knew what they where talking about, for he was trying out to become a beater for the Ravenclaw team.

"Aye, it is." Aaron agreed with his twin. "But it runs in the family." he added, referring to the fact that their younger sister, a Ravenclaw, coincidentally, was also on a House team.

"I'm sure we will. The team so far's killer." Aaron said matter-of-factly. "And, with the addition of two killer beaters, we'll be unbeatable."

This was said with a smirk, one which was wiped away quickly as there was some sort of commotion outside the compartment.

"I don't know.." Aaron muttered, getting up and going to the compartment door. He then slid it open a bit and peered out, seeing that other students in other compartments were doing the same. "There's shouting going on.." he called, then stepped back with a grunt as Aimee, quite literally, ran into him.

Shade caught both Aimme and Aaron as they both fell into his arms. "Whoa, buddy..." He said, helping them both up.

"Talk about ru-" Aaron began, but Aimee gave him a dark look.

"Don't start, 'Ron." she said warningly, then asked, almost in her next breath, "What's going on?"

"If I knew that, I'd've already told you." he said shortly, motioning to the seat he had left. "Sit down."

She did just that, muttering something under her breath.

Aaron shook his head, and just as he started to look out the door again, bumped heads with his cousin Allison.

"Ow!" they exclaimed in unison, and Aaron then grabbed her arm and dragged her inside as shouts echoed down the hall again. Whatever was going on, it was not good.

Then, a very dark cloud came over the train that had stopped on a bridge. Then, blue sparks came flying through the windows, lighting up the darkness that had surrounded them. The four people dove to the ground just as the sparks came in and, even though the door was shut, flew through the door, burning it.
