The cold chill that came with the cloud and blue-flames still lingered in the compartment and it wasn't helped by the open window. Bryce took out his wand and muttered, "Reparo!" Slowly, the window fixed, but the door was shaddered and all of them felt something...like something was wrong.

Aaron, Aimee, and Allison all shivered involuntarily. Something was definitely not right..and out of habit, Aaron and Aimee(not Allison, since she had already drawn her wand when repairing her glasses) both drew out their wands.

As the train came to an abrupt halt again, Allison belatedly remembered they were supposed to have been in their school robes by then. Reaching for her trunk(which had been moved after the incident with the door), she opened it and pulled out one of the black robes from the top, then pulled it on over her Muggle clothes, pinning the Captain's badge to the front of the robe carefully. Glancing up, she saw the others doing the same as she had(putting on school robes), and she closed her luggage again and picked up her cat's wicker carrier.

All the first years looked around nervously as all the older years sat down and looked at them. Shade sat by Aaron while Bryce went and sat by his brother.

Belladonna had took the opportunity of Aiden sleeping to quickly change into her robes before the Hogwarts express stopped. She smiled when she walked into the familiar Great Hall and moved towards the Slytherin table where she saw old friends, grinngin at the line of first years trying to decide who would be joining them.

Over at the Slytherin table, Aidan watched the first years with a slightly passive expression. He remembered all too well when he had been their age, just coming to Hogwarts..and everyone had constantly stated how much he looked like his father and grandfather. It had been quite irksome, and still was.

At the Gryffindor table, Allison sat across from Shade and Aaron, watching the first years with a far different expression than her brother. She, of course, had been recognizable as her parents' daughter, because of her mixture of messy red hair and green eyes and glasses..and she had just become used to the attention over the years. It was quite the thing to be the child of the famous Harry Potter..

And over at the Ravenclaw table, Aimee didn't even so much as glance at the first years, as she was quietly catching up with one of her friends.

Shade had calmed down from the incedent on the train, luckly. He smiled and kept talking with Aaron and Allison about Quitiditch(sp?) as they waited for the feast to began.

Every time the word Quidditch was mentioned, Allison would have to stifle a groan. Already, she had been bombarded by many of the Gryffindors asking when tryouts were going to be held, and each time, she had answered truthfully by saying she didn't know, and that it would be posted in the Gryffindor common room once she had decided.

"Oh, I wish Professor Amandius would just make his speech.." Aaron said, during a break in the conversation. The Sorting had ended nigh on five minutes ago, and the Headmaster had yet to stand up and make his speech.

As if on cue, silence fell over the room, and the Headmaster, a tall, thin man with longish brown hair and deep brown eyes(most likely in his late fourties at the most), smiled at the students assembled before him. "Welcome back, to another year at Hogwarts! And, to avoid becoming tedius with my welcomes, I am going to keep this very short. Eat up!"

With that, the tables were laden with all kinds of food, and appreciative laughter and applause broke out for the Headmaster's very short speech.

"Finally!" Aaron had said, before immersing himself completely with filling his plate. Allison laughed at both of them, before filling her own plate.

"Everything looks a lot more exquisite this year." she then commented in a lull in the conversation. "Wonder what's up with that."

Nick, having spent the entire train ride by himself in a compartment, sat at the Hufflepuff table and ate - by himself again. He was used to being alone, but this year his sister wasn't here to make him feel at least semi-included. He sighed and picked at his mashed potatoes.

"I hope it stops raining," Chanel said anxiously, coming in very wet from the sudden showers that were drenching the grounds outside and plopping into a seat with a slight squelch. "Playing Quidditch will be horrible!"

"Oh, don't remind me." Allison moaned, promptly laying her head down on the table, her messy red hair sprawled out to hide her face. If she heard the Quidditch one more time that night, after all the pestering that had been imposed on her by all the other Gryffindors..she was likely to lose it.
