Stealthily Grey and his crew crept up the side of the Pearl, while the water splashed up innocently against the sides. When Grey got over the edge, he ducked into the shadows, looking for that girl.
"Go below deck," he said at Barry, "...search every corner and shadow. She's GOT to be here. Claudia, don't let this one out of your sight."
Meanwhile, he had plans of his own. With a jolt, he got the door open to Jack's cabin, and started rummaging around hasty throw this disorganized misc. Papers, rocks, dirt, articles of clothes, food, maps, instruments, and junk-ish objects were all tossed together chaotically, and all splattered with rum.

Trying to make her breathing very shallow, Elizabeth pressed close to Will among the barrels and remained as quiet as possible.
Claudia looked disappointed, but kept hold of Isabelle, who was anxiously peering about herself, and considering shouting some sort of warning. She rather thought it would be a bad idea, as it didn't look like Victoria was here.

Will wanted to save Elizabeth, but he knew that if they tried to slip off the ship unnoticed....they would become noticed. It was far to dangerous. All he could hope for, was that they wouldn't be found.
Pulling her closer to him, he shushed her. His brown eyes darted back and forth uncertainly, as he listened to the voices and footsteps that moved below deck.

And then, amidst all the rubbish, Grey found it.
He pulled it out ever-so-carefully, torn and stained with rum as it was, and peered at it lovingly. It was a marriage license... almost illegible now that it had been wet, torn, and eaten by mice. But one could only presume the marriage license belonged to Sparrow, being in his possession and all, although the names were rather illegible in the dim light of the ship. Jack must've been too drunk for his own good, he thought, a faint smile creeping to his face. This was a piece of blackmail alright. He pocketed it carefully.
Grey stumbled out of the cabin, and grabbed Claudia by the shoulder. "Seen the girl yet?!" he asked rather harshly, and without waiting for an answer, began searching himself, prodding in every corner by kicking with his boot. Down by the canons, he thought he saw a faint shadow. He kicked into the darkness.

"No, cap'n," said Claudia hastily, moving away. Best not to get in his way. She watched him search obsessively and wondered if the girl was even aboard.
Isabelle, too, craned her neck to try and see - if at all possible, she needed to help Victoria get away.

Elizabeth gave a faint squeak as Grey's boot connected with her shin in the darkness, and immediately stifled it. Hardly breathing at all now, she unconsciously tightened her grip on Will's arm.

Jack, meanwhile, had waltzed out of the Faithful Bride and was headed back towards his ship.
He staggered down the street more drunk than ever now because he had just a bit too much fun swigging a bottle a rum.
He glanced down at his compass, which was not spinning anymore, but was now pointing in a very clear direction ahead of him.

Will could see the silloutte figure of Grey standing in front of the barrels covering them. His eyes remained focused upward and he did not breathe.
However, when Elizabeth squeaked, Will quickly covered her mouth with his hand. He pulled her closer to his chest and leaned back away from the barrels.

Victoria had foolishly followed Jack out of the inn, eyes bent on the Captain. "Jack, what are we doing here, exactly? How is this going to help my..." Her eyes shifted over to the Devil's Lightning and stopped dead in her tracks. "...family..." Victoria finished in a hoarse whisper.
