Lol! You guys are nuts...

I quote LotR alot. Fool of a took, Precious, What's it got in it's pocketses and The road goes ever on and on... are regular parts of my vocab. As well as quotes relevant to specific situations (his retribution will be swift.... ).

And if anyone mentions LotR, Weta, PJ, or any movie involving LotR cast (or crew) or any of the cast/crew, I'm unstoppable. :P

Other than that, I'm a pretty tame ringer. Except when I put a ring on around my brother, and claim he can't see me. Oh, and I wander round singing songs/poems from the books....
(Ho Ho Ho, to the bottle I go, to heal my heart and drown my woe....)

this is the first time i told anyone this so feeling a bit stupid...
i was really small and i was in a sunday school thing. it was coming up to Christmas and we were doing a quiz on Xmas stuff - the story and things about it... and well, there was a question like 'What angel came to Mary' and i put 'Galadriel' and yes i could spell it right too! then later we were asked outloud and i shouted it out!!
That was when i developed my reputation as a disturbed and obcessed child...

Well something i think is funny but my friend doesn't really like is I tell her that her cat is a minionof Sauron and she should be treated as such. but she hates it when i say that! :P
Well this is kinna weird, but it was the second time i had seen RotK and i was watchin git with my friend, her mom , my sis, and my mom and at the middle part (it was the EE) me my sis and my friend all rabbed a powdered dougnut and we walked around acting like the marching orcs (that was the part we had just watched) and we yelled "Oweeeo, a weeeo!". and we made up this funny dance to go along with it. we were really hyper i guess.... :bounce: hehe

lol ok, i'll lay off the sugar.
at one of our chiristmas parties we all made LotR related gingerbread houses. lol it was fun. :) and while we did we watched FotR. it was totally random though. i put it on the TV so i could get a good picture of Bag End, but then my friend played it and we watched it all the way through the end credits including all the fan names. It was like 20 min long! and we looked all over the place for our names and stuff. it was random but it's funny to think about..:P

~Haha! Sound fun! :P

The other day I got in a argument with my friends about which is better. Harry Potter or LOTR. Course I thought LOTR was and I got 4 others to agree with me. But 3 thought HP was better. Err ahah. But it was really funny cuz my teacher was all saying how she had never seen me so into something before!

I wish I had a family that was so into LOTR as yours is. Usually when I watch LOTR its in my room on my own. Its so unfair. My dad is the only person I can talk to about it but it's not good cause he's only seen the films once and that was when they were released in the cinima so I have to keep correcting him.

And  Merry Christmas eve to you to!!!

Wow, you people are strange. lol, I feel I'm in good company. :-D

Let me see, what have I done...
-Randomly quoted LOTR when the situation was right for it (in my head AND out loud).
-Thought "Crebain from Dunland! Hide!" at the sight of crows. Sooner or later I'll start saying it, I'm quite sure.
-Told people at school "mae govannen" and "namarië" and when asked, explained what they meant.
-Told many, many people at school that I speak Elvish (and upon doing so, getting some very odd looks).
-Learning to write in Tengwar and writing allllll over my schoolbooks and notebooks in Tengwar, and writing "Merry Christmas and Happy New Year" on my Biology teacher's whiteboard in Tengwar.
-Sang "Gollum's Song" while ironing for my grandma (not very loud though, as I don't like people to hear me sing).
-Bought a Legolas & Gimli bookmark for the One Ring on the tassel (though of course I use the bookmark too). And actually wearing it on a chain around my neck. And refusing to put it on my finger.
-Whenever I misplace said Ring I automatically think/say: "NOOO! The Precious is lost!" or "Where is it, where is the Precious?!?"
-Said "Noro lim, Asfoloth! Noro lim!" out loud when I'm in a hurry.
-Traced the Elvish writing on the One Ring out of a copy of FOTR.
-Quoted the Ring poem in Common and Black Speech to one of my classmates (who had the misfortune to ask what the symbols I was tracing meant).
-Had a very, very serious desire to buy Elf ears (though depleted funds due to Christmas have delayed the fulfillment of this desire, unfortunately).

I thought I was odd...however, seeing some of your guys' posts has - somewhat - restored my sense of normalcy. ;)

Oh, I love everybody's stories. They are so...funny! Please keep the stories coming. :-D
Well, let me see here, I've...
Put on a silver chain necklace with a ring about the same size and shape of the one ring and ran away from my younger sister saying "No the ring is mine! It is my prescious! You can't have it! I'll be dead before you take it from me. Oh, and saying other things along those lines.
I skipped to and from a local resturant singing an Elvish song, very loudly I might add.
I tried to dance like a hobbit atop a row of bricks that was about 3 or so feet from the ground and sang (very loudly again) the song that Merry and Pippin sang while dancing on the table in the LotR movie
Pretended to shoot arrows at people
Quoted several lines from LotR many a time
Yelled at those who have tried to touch my copy of the Hobbit (if that counts)
Moved my LotR books closer to my body when people stare at the LotR books that I am holding
Made a three page long genology (a family tree like thing) of the characters of LotR
Once when I was made to play with my younger siblings, I said that I was an Elf (maiden) who was deeply in love with Legolas and that we were engaged and I refussed to play any longer when my siblings said that Legolas was killed in a great war that was taking place in Middle Earth
Those kind of things :goofy:

I wear my Ring that I got on a bookmark on a chain around my neck, and once when my brother tried to look at it I grabbed it in my fist, shrunk away from him and shrieked "NO you cannot touch the Precious!!!" :-D So it appears in that area that great minds think alike.

^ (laughs a little bit) Well, I think that it's cool that we did the same thing. :-D Great minds think alike as the saying goes. Plus we're both slightly insane (or leastwise I am) ringers...so that might have something to do with it. :-D

Luiniel, Your cake looked great. :-D

wow ur cake looks awesome Luiniel. What I once did is that I asked my friends to pretend I was invisible when I wore the one ring. Also I quote LotR a lot (in many different situations..)
