He added as he saw the hobbit enter.

"Wondering about what?" asked Boromir kindly. He was quite fond of him and his friend, Merry, who he heard is still in Rohan. Must have broken their little hearts when they had to be separated, he thought.

Sam is with Frodo, but Jack and Will have just appeared in the picture. Jack accidentally has just sat on top of Sam's belly and Frodo has just poked Jack in the bottom, in order to get him off.)
