Dr. Merrick finished his drink and walked towards the punch bowl and filled his glass with the punch. As he enjoyed the scarlet liquid, he noticed two rather attractive women talking with a guy. He wondered whether or not he should intrude. Outside balls and parties, he was capable of making decisions quickly but once shoved into one, doubt and uncertainty overwhelmed him.

"I am indeed. I have just gotten here but it seems fun enough. Are you?" She sipped her sparkling grape juice. She smiled over at the man at the wine table, trying to figure out who it was.

Nimrodel looked over the available drinks - definetely nothing alcoholic for her - and selected a sparkling juice. It smelled delicious - she sipped once or twice and watched a few couples dancing.
