Maralyn nodded hastily. "Aye, our immediate action should be putting as much space between us and the enemy as possible." The she-elf turned abruptly and sped into the bushes without a backward glance.

Reniel glanced at Maralyn, waiting for a reply. She then glanced at Crourin. "We haven't much time. Is there anything you can do, anyone you might call upon for aid?" she asked.

Crouron shook his head.
"I'm not magic, I can't call upon anything, but if you run, I can cover your tracks, and make a new trail to lead them away from you for a time."

Reniel nodded. "All right." she glanced at Maralyn and Crouron. "May the Vala protect you." With that, she sprinted into the dark forest.

Crourin watched them go, and started earasing their tracks the best he could, which was pretty good, then started to create new ones by jumping back and forth to make it look like many different sets of footprints...

Reniel approached a group of elven warriors who travelled east along a path only moments from the others.
"Mae govannen." she said softly.
Immediately, thirty bows were aimed at her.
"I am friend." she assured them. "And as a friend, I've a favour to ask of you."
One dismounted and glanced around her to ensure she was alone.
"Speak it." he bade her.
She quickly explained the situation to him. He tapped a finger against his chin, and turned to confer with his comrades.
After several tense moments of deliberation, he turned back to her. "Lead the way."
She thanked him profusely, and waited for him to remount before charging back into the dark forest.

"If Tur's staying, then so am I,"the pale elf said smiling slightly "She only gets into trouble without me." Rhavaniel ended amused, tousling her cousins hair fondly.

Reniel slunk back to the others. "Thirty elves are coming to your aid. I hope that will be enough..." she informed them.

[Sorry I haven't been posting, but I've been away. ]

Maralyn stopped suddenly, whirling around to face Crourin. "Stop," she murmured, motioning for him to cease running. The she-elf ran a hand through her hair distractedly. "Perhaps this sounds foolhardy to you...but I think we should go back. The others are probably defenseless back there, and we're...actually, I....am too much of a coward to stand and fight alongside them."

Reniel stared. "I shall fight. You may all leave if you wish, but I shall not watch the orcs defile such a beautiful land." she glanced at Maralyn. "I am armed. I will fight and die if necessary. I will distract them while you leave." she said.

(Crourin was helping them get away, making the orcs follow him... oh well)

Crourin halted his horse, and wheeled it around and came back to the many she-elves, finding that they had not gone anywere.
"I give you a chance to run... but now I think I side tracked the orcs a bit. I am no coward, it is yet my duty to protect the land as a ranger."

"Then what shall you do, Crourin?" inquired Reniel.

[My mistake, and I apologize. ]

Maralyn stood by in the bushes, listening to the others and occasionly throwing a nervous glance in the direction of the orcs.

Reniel drew her sword quickly. "Very well," she said to herself. "A life well-lived, I suppose."
