Gil and Sawyer began a peaceful walk through the beautiful snow-covered garden. They stopped at a stone park bench and sat next to each other, so Gil could rest her sore feet.
Then, unexpectdly, Sawyer leaned down and kissed Gil softly on the lips. "I love you," he said. "I love you too," Gil said as she smiled and blushed.
After a few more minutes of rest, Gil and Sawyer resumed their walk along the snow covered path, staring in wonder at all the fancy snow formations that other members of the ball had created.
After about a half an hour of walking, the couple began to feel a little chilled. "Shall we go to the punch bowl for some hot cider?" asked Sawyer. Gil nodded enthusiastically, so they made their way back inside.

Caderyn and The Nightingale slowly made their way through the garden, looking at the different snow figures people had made, and saying goodbye to their friends. Finally, they reached their sleigh, and climbing into it, Caderyn took the reigns and they dashed off through the snow, waving as they went.
"Bye!"

Princess Arya and Oliver Wood wandered aimlessly through the starlight gardens. Unexpectedly, Wood turned to Arya and handed her something wrapped in glittering silver paper. "Merry Christmas," he said, leaning close to her and kissing her gently. Arya smiled and carefully opened the package. Inside, there was a black velvet case, which Arya opened, and to her delight, she saw nestled there a daimond necklace as radiant as the stars. With a gasp, Arya said, "I love it!" as Oliver fastened it round her neck. Turning back to face him, Arya grinned, her eyes gleaming. "You are as good at pleasing me as you are at playing Qudditch," she said jokingly. Wood laughed. "Shall we see what is going on elsewhere?" he asked; Arya nodded, and they headed off.

Caunion led Ms.Gamgee through the flowers under the starry night. "It's beautiful, isn't," Caunion asked to no one in particular as he gazed at the sky. "Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?" He then turned to Ms.Gamgee, hugged her, and whispered to her ear, "Merry Christmas, milady."

Ms.Gamgee recieved her escort's hug, and hugged him back. "Merry Christmas Caunion"
The strolled along a small pathway under the starry sky. The night was quite cold, but remained bearable, especially with much warmth emitting from the ballroom hall. Ms.Gamgee did not want it to be a silent walk, but couldn't figure out what to say.
