(I guess we could just like pretend that Alayna's already been captured and you guys could go from there. Maybe that would be easiest. I'm gonna be gone until later this afternoon though. So I won't be able to post for a while.)

Naidele nodded to what her sister said. Then she turned to Khienro. "I don't know," she said, "But hopefully not long. We don't have much time to spare." With that, she gently tapped her heels into her horses side and started him off at a trot.

Aeryn nodded, sighing.

(Ok so we continue from where you said)

Gabilon captured Alayna so easily, unlike the powerful keepers the legends have spoken about he found this first meeting very amusing. The assasins were holding Alayna from front and back by her bare arms. Gabilon looked to see if there is any track of the other keepers around. But he was unlucky now since no track has he observed. He was sad about not catching all of them. On the other hand, he was so happy that he caught one and at least his master would laugh at last the fine job he did.

(Raven, is this okay or should I edit??)

(That's fine. :) )

Head lowered, Alayna gave no struggle whatsoever against her captors, but she nevertheless wore a dark expression. Idiot, letting yourself be captured..you should have just fought and died! This thought ran through her mind, making her breathe in sharply in frustration. If only I could reach my dagger.. she thought, longing to feel the hilt of the small dagger she had concealed in her right boot. It was, of course, out of reach, and even could she get one arm free, she knew it was likely she would either be attacked or struck..and she didn't need that, considering the cut she had already recieved. Thinking of that seemed to make the warm blood start to flow down her cheek again, and she stifled an oath of anger.

[in my rpg experiences I've found that the fastest way for an rpg like this one to die is to separate the characters]

Having separated from Gabilon a while back and agreed to rendezvous at Okandar's camp ten miles north of the city, Vsysh wove languid circles in the air above the group. The two human males in the elf were meddling fools - they could be dealt with and easily. It was the two Keepers that concerned him - though if the ease at which they'd captured the other three Keepers spoke any volumes, he really shouldn't be worried.

His fleshless lips drew back in a grin as he signaled the other winged assassins circling near him. Soon. Very soon. For now, he could wait.

--------

They'd only been on the road for two hours, and Orindil already knew he'd erred. Perhaps even fatally.

The sheer canyon walls that towered on either side of them effectively trapped them at the bottom of the ravine. The numerous caves that dotted the jagged walls were ideal places for enemies to hide in. This, coupled with the fact that Greywind was shying and his own ranger instincts were buzzing.

Orindil glanced back at the others, Naidele and Nakaida especially. He made a slashing gesture, indicating danger was near.

In fact, unknown to any of them, danger was wheeling right above their heads.

Aeryn looked at Naidele and then at Orindil. He didn't like the looks of things, so he put his hand on the hilt of his dagger and waited.

Khienro dipped his head somewhat to aknowledge Oridil's warning. He then, without moving his head, looked from Naidele, whom was on his right, to Orindil, whom was a little ahead of him, on the left. He let no emotion show on his face, though he really was quite uneasy. And his rather stupid stunt last night wasn't helping... He slowly brought his hand up to rub the knot that had formed on his brow. Stifling a yawn quietly, he lay down his had ontop of a pouch in Sparksburn's saddle. He sliped his hand inside and wrapped it around the long wooden handle that belonged to his sturdy throwing axe.

An inhuman shriek shattered the silence. The ashbow was in Orindil's hands in milliseconds as his gaze shot upwards to confront this new danger.

His blood congealed. The very worst of Okandar's minions! Half-demons!

His arrow flew true, piercing the lead demon's left eye. The creature uttered a wail, snatching the arrow from its eye and crumbling it in its talons. The charred wooden shaft simply incinerated in its clutches. Undeterred, the keening fiends came on.

"Run!" Orindil cried, digging his heels into Greywind's flanks. The stallion whinnied and sprang into a full out gallop.

Nakaida's horse needed no further urging and arrowed after Orindil with a terrified noise halfway between a whinny and a scream. Nakaida herself struggled to stay aboard, bent low over her steed's neck.

With a shout she whipped out a hand and immediately the wind turned full force and slammed into the winged demons with all Nakaida's fury behind it.

Khienro started off, and then, after Naikada attacked the demons, he was only partly startled, his horse on the other hand, was going into histarics. Quickly regaining control, he reined Sparksburn in and made a run for it.

When Orindil warned of danger being close, Naidele's hand had automatically went to the knife she kept at her belt. She tensed, looking around warily. Then suddenly there was a commotion and they were under attack. She tried to keep her horse under control, but it was bent on getting away. She looked over her shoulder and with a yell flung both her hands back, sending a ball of flame roaring towards the half demons.

(I may be able to post some tomorrow evening and maybe tuesday morning, but just in case I can't I wanted to tell you all that starting wednesday I won't be able to get on for a few days cause I'm having my wisdom teeth cut out. :confuzzled: And I don't think I'll feel like getting online for a few days.)

The wind and fire afforded the victims some respite, if only for a moment. The fiends screeched something incoherent and fell back to regroup. Then, as one, they funneled towards them yet again.

Greywind was gallopping for all he was worth, and as he flew around another bend in the ravine he suddenly balked.

Dead end.

Aeryn came up last, throwing one of his daggers with great speed at a demon and nailed him in the gut as he turned the bend, then got one his only other dagger before he would have to use his bow.
His mare slowed as they came to a dead in.

(this is my last day for a awhile....:'(....travelling...)

Nakaida clenched her teeth and swung herself off her mare to face the oncoming enemy. I'm not going without a fight.

"Watch out!" she shrieked over the din of horses and demons, and flung out both arms. Wind whipped around her for a moment, lifting her cloak and tossing her hair around her in a flurry; and then there was a deafening roar.

Descending from what appeared to be thin air, a whirlwind enveloped the demons.

"Run! I cannot hold them for long!" Nakaida cried, hoping her voice was not carried away in the wild commotion.
