Landen watched carefully, and nodded after he was sure they were done. He was impressed, no, amazed, that they had escaped, and had stayed escaped for this long. He surveyed them carefully, and then lifted his head again,

"And... How long were you a... Captive.. Of this guild before you escaped?" He asked. It was clear that he could somehow relate to the siblings situation, though he had yet to reveal how or why.

Both siblings glanced to Landen, though it was Raina who spoke.

"Roughly? I would guess nigh on 100 years, though I'm not certain on the number. It's rather difficult to keep track of time when there is just endless killing, brutality, and the like."

"Would you wish to join our Gifted in the city?" interjected Silvryn. "They - or should I say we - depart in but a few days for the Headquarters. War is brewing. We need as many on our side as possible. Penfire, your opinion please." With a glance at Tal, she raised an eyebrow. "I might request yours as well."

The Princess leaned back in her chair.

Darnel, who had arrived only minutes before the story, looked impressed. He didn't say anything, hoping the attention would turn to him, though you couldn't be too sure in a situation like this.

Do you think they're trustable, though, Silvryn. I do believe in second chances, but there is still a chance that they could slit our throughts in our sleep. He thought to Silvryn...

Landen noddded once, and suddenly found the boards under his feet very interesting. He dug through his memories, baffled, then turned his gaze back up towards Raina, and squinted.

"And.." He continued slowly, not wanting to sound over interested, "And uh... Did you ever.... Do you remember - when you were younger - coming across a hunter, and with him a young teenager? He had a very pecular crossbow with serpents engraved in it..."

Their minds were searched. No ill intent was found, only an incriminating past. I believe we are safe for the moment. Silvryn returned, her gaze flicking to her commander only momentarily. "And I would extend the same invitation to other Gifted here," she continued, louder. "Those eavesdropping, as well." Her eyes rested briefly on Varna, Landen and Darnel [and any others I may have missed]. "Though of course you as well would be required to submit to having your minds examined."

Landen nodded, and resumed his straight sitting posistion, and let his eyes land on Silvryn. His pulse went up a notch or two when it was revealed that she thought him only gifted... This would pose both a problem, and an opertunity. He nodded inwardly, and then proceded to say,

"I will take you up on that offer, your highness. And, sense I have already submited to the requirements, may I ignore it now?" He asked, not wanting for anyone to see the memories that floated about in the front of his mind right now...
