Moddies, I just wanted to thank you for the safety changes ( improvements), it was a very good idea to do that! Yay for a pervert-free A-U!

*Hops in*
Who decides about the ball information? Is it like a group thing or does one person organise and the others add ideas?

ummm for the first ball it was a group decision after talking to a few members and mods who have heard of/participated in "balls" elsewhere on the net... Then for the winter ball, we posted a poll in the Polling section and it seemed many people wanted to have another big party or ball, and those who missed the first wanted a chance to participate....so we really took members' ideas for the Winter Ball...and the members also have their say on the activities and contests they want during it...such as the masquerade and so on. Yeah, I started the posts and stickied them, so I will accept the blame if it flubs or something goes wrong but...so many people helped out and gave great ideas, it's a team effort...but honestly more members than mods, it's not a "mod" driven event, but an AU event...which I love thanks to the input and support everyone has given.
 for everyone involved!

Disregard that. Our religion is Buddhist. See? This is how unorthodox we are.

unorthodox is fun...-nods lots-.... my extended family tree is a mish-mash of faiths/politics/races and so on too...I love it. Makes me appreciate diversity in all areas of life too.

lol..-raises hand as she opens a package- I just bought a relative's birthday gift on Ebay....the item was sold out in EVERY Store online and locally as well, and for 2 dollars more with shipping, I found one on Ebay... but, I'm always as careful as I know how to be when buying on Ebay, people need to be sure to look at positive vs negative feedback of buyers/sellers, guarantees, and so on before purchasing... I had one negative experience with something arriving not working properly, but otherwise it's been great, like a global rummage sale ... my fav item? A print from the LotR premier poster with 8 autographs on it.

Ah, I knew there must be someone who uses Ebay. Yes, you are quite right about the feedback, but I also find a lot of people abuse the system. I remember one poor person had a negatie and the comment was "great item, well packaged, thanks". And that was a black mark on his record. I've been on Ebay 5 years next September and I still can encounter problems.

lol...that is so true JF, about feedback...so if there are negatives I go and read them for myself to see if it was someone complaining over trivial things or a mistake like that. And yay for other Ebay users! I love some of the things you can find there...but yeah there are still issues too at times, but overall I love to browse there.

*Sees relatives, tacklehugs them both*
The only thing I've ever bought off Ebay, was my beloved Evenstar. My brother actually managed to pursuade my parents to let him get a couple of games off there, but that's about it. We're still a bit behind with Ebay.

While I do have an Ebay account, I haven't yet purchased from it. That's not saying I won't in the future, though!

My Family is trying to set up an Ebay account cause we have so much *whispers*JUNK at our house! Although, it seems extremely complicated.

Yes, I always check as well, as if the feedback was "never received payment" but I am actually buying off the person, I discount it.
The best thing I think my brother ever bought was his LOTR signed poster by 22 members of the cast and crew. I love Ebay because you can buy so may movie related things. My brother has shirts, jackets, belts, t shirts and watches for loads of films, that you couldn't buy elsewhere. Viva le Ebay!

I've browsed ebay some, but never actually bought anything. I've looked at the Regency-style dresses, and have pondered buying one if they weren't so expensive I wish there was some more reassuring way to buy cheap photography equipment too. I see a lot of good deals on there, but I'm wary of the actual condition of the products, if you know what I mean.
