Elenriel sighed, saddened that she and Legolas had missed the early partying. Of all the times for us to be delayed. she thought bitterly. Legolas squeezed her hand comfortingly, knowing how disappointed she was. Elenriel gave him a weak smile. “I guess we should find JF and James Norrington.” she said. With that the two of them walked up to the couple. Elenriel quickly embraced JF, her eyes shining with happiness for her friend. “Congratulations, dearest” she said softly. “Norrington will be a fine husband for you.” she whispered, mirth gleaming in her eyes. She then addressed the couple. “May your days be filled with love and laughter and may your marriage bring you both eternal bliss.” She smiled at them before continuing. “In case we will not be here for the ceremony, we thought it best to drop off our gifts now.” With that Legolas handed the couple two chests-one filled with gold, the other with precious jewels.
