I like the odd post-Black album material. But not many.
Nothing beats anything from Master of Puppets or Ride the Lightning for sheer class.

That's on the Black album (91/92) and probably my least favourite song on there. Not because it's slow or a ballad, cause Fade to Black is slow and that's one of my all time Metallica faves. I just think it's the weakest track on the album imo.
Best track on the black album is probably Sad But True or The Unforgiven.
My fave Metallica song of all time is Welcome Home(Sanitarium), it is near genius level in it's goodness.

^ People are just plain boring...
I love NME just because it's their first song I've ever heard ... I know, lol. Weird.

Oh good grief. I read the first paragraph and just shook my head and rolled my eyes.
Such narrow minded, ill informed, ignorance.
This topic made me go on a Metallica listening spree. It had been so long, it felt so good.

the weird mom that wrote the essay wrote: Children always want to rebel against what ever their parents don't like
lol if that refers to music ... Let's just say I usually end up with seeing my dad searching through my metal DVDs ... or "stealing" them...

I like old metalica as well..i dont listen to much of them anymore..I really like there Unforgiven one the first one...the second one is not the best...I didnt know that nothing else matters was a metalica song. I have heard the Apocalpytica version ( i knew they did metalica covers) and i love it....I also like the unforgiven apocalyptica version

Lucky you... my dad only likes Within Temptation, and he thinks they're Nightwish!!
On her 50th birthday my mom announced she'd be a metalhead from now on... well, she likes Blind Guardian, Rhapsody, Demons&Wizards... and what happened then??? Both my parents are into The Crüxshadows now! lol
@Phoenix: I showed that "Beer" song by Korpiklaani to my mom... she likes it and she runs around screaming "beer, beer"... now, hasn't the world been turned up-side-down???
