Musicians sure do seem to come across a lot of these, don't they?

The first time I witnessed one of these: Bo Bice (from American Idol) broke his leg at my concert during their tour.

I figured it was a one time deal...until...I saw the All-American Rejects. I actually have found a vid of it as well. Watch this: Tyson is singing Move Along, and about a minute or so( give or take) into the song, someone throws a shoe at him! What the heck were they thinking? That one's just down right funny...but I recently came across one of Panic! At the Disco's lead singer Brendon Urie having a BOTTLE THROWN AT HIM. Not quite so funny. Anyway, here's the vid for that one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mxS_lLGQ2KE


Anyone else no of other stories, or have other (hopefully amusing rather than sad) videos of things like this happening to musicians during performances? And the even more important question, relating to audience-induced misfortunes...why?

I agree though, the Panic! thing is kind of frightening. Getting hit hard enough to be knocked out... Jeez.

i can't think of any professional musician mishaps, but i have been known to accidentally whack someone round the head with my flute in the middle of a concert.

Hmmm...I tried that All American Rejects link and I couldn't see anyone throwing shoes at them, but I did see the lead singer take his shoes off and throw them

That Panic! video is kind creepy though Why would someone do that?

It was like, thirty seconds in. Once shoe came in and smacked Tyson and he looked angry an stopped playing for a second. Then he threw his own shoes as a joke.


and yes, the Panic! one is terrrible Everything is fine and then bam! Brendon goes down. Meanwhile their dummer and one of their guitarist have no idea what is going on so they keep playing for another twenty seconds. then Ryan(said guitarist) is like 'wha? why isn't brendon singing? and what's with all these paramedics' so he stops, but then Spence is still playing (drummer) and he's like 'why'd everyone stop?'

i found out what kind of bottle it was too. It was a full bottle of soda.

A German rapper called Eko Fresh got a glass bottle (beer) thrown at his head. I didn't see it and I don't know if it knocked him down, I just heard it from a friend... (well, I don't like him anyway )
