Well I still like Eowyn and Faramir...plus when Legolas is standing next to Eowyn, Gimli is standing next look Legolas, so Gimli could've been standing next to her too! I agree with Joelle, last I checked, you were allowed to stand beside someone without being considered a couple.

I really am a die-hard fan of Eowyn-Faramir as couple so I never thought about Legolas and Eowyn as a couple. I don't even like to think about it. Sorry but that's my opinion.

My first thought of these two "together" came randomly, as I was bored and sniffing around fanfiction.net. I think I was looking for shortish Arwen/Legolas fics (don't hurt me!) when it occured to me that just maybe, if people were odd enough to imagine A/L they could perhaps have some Eowyn/Legolas somewhere. So I looked it up and read a couple stories. I have to admit the idea is certainly interesting, though of course I am a complete supporter of Eowyn/Faramir. If - I say IF - Faramir really had died, I would be happy enough to see the Elven prince of Mirkwood and the White Lady of Rohan together, unlikely as it is. To tell you the truth, I never noticed that one shot where they're standing so close together...hm...my suspicions are now aroused...

Well, I'm not creative enough to think of an Eowyn/Legolas story--too much a Eowyn/Faramir fanatic. I'm not good at fan-fic in the first place.

Well yeah, I've thought about the idea of Legolas and Eowyn together, I've noticed how close they stood together in this scene in TTT, but still I think that Faramir is waaaay better for her.

Easy, girl. Someone is allowed to have a differing opinion from you. *cough*howeverwrongitmaybe*cough* Be glad that the majority of people are E/F shippers and don't attack the ones who aren't.

I dont know.. As friends, yes. But as a couple.. not really. Eowyn and Faramir are better as a couple

I must admit I thought of E+L together, but with the struggle and fight for love between Faramir and Eowyn is so much greater.
I also agree with those before me that said she was to busy oggling at Aragorn to notice Legolas.
The story already has an elf and human together, I honestly couldn't imagine legolas giving up his elfhood, and it might upstage Aragorn + arwen's struggle.

Legolas and Eowyn are on totally different levels, in race and in mindsets. They think differently, they both have different goals and different priorities...you can't put a couple together based on looks. I think that they respected each other as friends, when they notice each other, and personally, I think it's really sweet when they show them together.
Those of you who have TTT EE, watch the scene "the glittering caves" more closely, and you will see the one other instance in which L and E make contact. It's actually quite funny.

I'm quite amused at how attatched some have become to this idea. I never saw ANYTHING to suggest that they even noticed each other. Legolas isn't so enveloping that you have to swoon over him if you're standing next to him. I think as friends, it could work, but PJ meant NOTHING by standing them together in the background. Eowyn's whole story of problems with Aragorn and Faramir is so good and complete that Legolas just isn't necessary. *shrugs*
All IMHO, of course. Anything goes with fanfiction, I suppose.
