Mmm...well, I've had eye problems since I was in second grade...over 10 years ago. Kind of sucks. I wore horrible glasses that my mother always picked out. I felt like such a nerd. GRR! Then I finally started picking out my own. I have a rather round face, so I chose rectangular glasses! Yay! But now, I wear contacts. Thank goodness! I occasionally wear my glasses, but not for long. I developed a stigmatism a few years back...which sucks. But at least now, my eyes haven't been changing every year. I think they've finally stablized...so to speak. But my eyesight is HORRIBLE. I'm near-sided...but VERY near-sided. Ha ha. Everything is a blur basically. *sigh* But glasses can be fun sometimes! Because they aren't usually such a pain as contacts can be! ARGH!

Aw, I'm sorry, Montana! When I was little, (like, 18 months old little) The doctor said my eyes were WAY to perfect, and that I would be near sighted when I got older. And here I am, quite near sighted. I just barely got out of having to wear glasses. Though I do find that sometimes it is very tireing trying to focus on close-up words and letters. (such as a keyboard or a book) lol, but the one thing that REALLY freaked me out is that back when I didn't even think I'd ever need glasses, I was doing my school, and I looked up at our clock(digital) to see what time it was, and I couldn't read it. But really, its just that silly clock. It is really, REALLY bright torqoise-ish green, and therefore very hard to read. It came with our oven, which has been in our house sense it was build, which was 12 years ago. So, its 12 years old, and pretty darn hard to read.

I just got glasses over the summer. I'm near sighted too. I thought about getting contacts instead, but everyone told me I looked good in glasses and that they made me look smarter, so I figured I would keep them.

I've had glasses since...um...grade one. Seven years. I'm nearsighted. Hate them, but I would never be able to wear contacts. It just creeps me out.

I've had glasses since year seven, and my eyesight's been rapidly deteriating, till now, I litterally can't see the expression of the person sitting next to me without wearing them. There's also muscle problems, which means I can't focus properly on stuff cos the muscles are too weak. It also means I'm incapable of going cross eyed

I've got my glasses for almost one and a half year now. I only wear them to read the underlines on the television, or to read the blackboard at school..

I've had glasses since the second grade. I'd love to get correction surgery though!

Ha ha ha...no one's ever told me I look better in glasses, but I've always figured I look smarter. So, I sometimes wear them to make myself feel smarter. Ha ha ha.
I've considered getting corrective surgery...I know someone who has, and she says she loves it now. My optomitrist said I'd have to wait until they stop changing...which, they have for now. But the one thing I'm really nervous about is the actual surgery. The woman I know who had it done...was describing it in detail...I nearly had a heart attack. SO, I'll probably stick with my contacs and smart glasses.

Whoa... Meldawen and Cpt. Faramir, I never imagined either of you with glasses... lol...
I have glasses. I had reading glasses since I was 6 or 7, but rarely wore them until this fall when my eyes began to strain (worst thing ever... my eyes hurt after 2 minutes reading without them). So we set up an eye appointment and I needed them cuz something in my eye wasn't all the way round, therefore making them strain. So now I have shiny, trapeziod-ial shaped silver glasses. I take them off for sports, though (thankfully I do, or they would have been broken playing street hockey a few weeks ago).
Re height... uh... in October I was 5 feet exactly.
I greatly dislike being short - er - vertically challenged. But I'm probably going to grow more, and at least be taller than my older sister, who is 5' 2". Though I think I've grown since October, or just walk in a way that I seem taller than her.
