Concerning Norrington's sudden promotion, the final scene with him and Beckett was originally longer (but, like all my other favorites, was cut for length reasons). From the script:



So there ye have it. I personally would have loved to see that scene, and I think it'd tie well to AWE, but oh well. I just wish they'd at least given us deleted scenes. Oh, and are two pictures from that scene (after the movie itself cuts off):







Oh, and if everyone's so anxious for the trailer (which I know I am), I suppose I could perhaps post the one that I wrote.

So...do you guys think that the "extended" scene with Beckett and Norrington will be in AWE or next time we see Norrie he'll just be an Admiral and that cut scene will just kind of be implied I guess...if that makes any sense .

how is it that we are getting trailers for movies like harry potter that are coming out in july but we havn't gotten ANYTHING for AWE. this better be one heck of a movie. you would think that by now we would at least have a teaser trailer! or a final/teaser poster ( im not couning the one you can find on...what is it...wikapedia(sp?))

Pirateoftherings, Thanks for posting the extended scene for us. Personaly I wish that they had left that in there. I think that it would have made Alot more sense if they had have left that in. Also I think that that would have made Norrington look a bit better. Reason being because that scene shows that Norrington didn't relize that Bucket (kudos to Caunion the Frost lord for coming up with that I hope that you don't mind me using it) wanted to control the sea. Rather it would seem judging by that scene that Norrington totally thought that Bucket wanted to put an end to Davy. In my opinion it makes Norrington look like more of just selfish and maybe just maybe not all evil...just selfish and not too bright... I have made up my mind undoubtfully that that scene should have been in there.
Perhaps they will have that scene in at the very first of AWE...I sure hope that they do.
Anyway Pirateoftherings, I'm sure that we would love to read your trailer for AWE. Least wise I sure would love to read and be very grateful if you would post it.

Okeydokey. I actually wrote this because I was getting tired of all the alleged "descriptions" floating around. I've yet to find one that doesn't have some major conflict with known spoilers, and yet people are willing to overlook the problem areas just so that they can believe that maybe this is the "real one." So, I decided to sit down and create one that's completely plausible. Everything in there is as confirmed as you can get without being an insider. It's not official, but I do plan on actually making it when AWE comes out on DVD.

[Opening logos]

Pirateoftherings, Wow....oh my...my...that was the most cool, most awesome, totally fab movie trailer that I have ever read transcript for in my life! You should totally become a director. That was amazing. Disney should use that trailer for AWE. Forget them writting one, they really should use yours! If they would accept it you should send it in... (though I don't think that they accept that kind of thing)...maybe we should write complaints to them about not allowing fans to send in ideas and what not to be used... and try to get them to accept Pirateofthering's AWE trailer...you really should be director or somebody for Disney or somthing. I was shaking all over from excitment just reading your trailer for it. Now I can't wait to see AWE even more so.
Oh, and by the way I loved how you gave Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom, and Keira Knightley each their own little snippet for themself. That was a Very nice touch.

Every single shot in there was in the movie as of the most recent script and spoilers, yes. Whether editing and budgeting have removed any of them, I don't know. But as I said, as confirmed as I can get them without being an insider.

Wow...now I'm un beleivabley excited and even more so impressed. You truely are a dedicated fan and a Very wonderful dirrector or writting or editor or all of the above or whatever that would be called. lol It just adds to the greatness that those are all true scenes. Now I can picture those scenes just as the will happen (with any luck) in the movie. Ah, May can't come fast enough.
