"Awake so soon, Master Mek?" Ziatan asked disinterestedly without bothering to look up from the datapad he was reading. "You really should be resting. You've been through quite a lot, you know. It wouldn't do to put undue stress on your body so soon."

"I felt it as well," Regarn said, sensing Naru's distress and placing a hand on her shoulder. "Have you spoken to any of the Council members of this? They must be informed immediately."

Naru shook her head,
"Not yet... I was just on my way trying to find one of them. If I would very much like to talk to Master Yoda though... He and Master Mek talked earlier, not an hour ago. I assume he probably sensed something."

Tynira, knowing he was right, relaxed, focusing on her breathing. There was such emptiness, such isolation ... "Ziatan." Her voice was steady, but it was very weak, and she could not hide the pain and loss that tinged it. "What have you done?" How could she be insensitive to the Force? She had felt it all her life, and now ... half of her had been ripped away, and she was just a shell. "What have you done?"

"Surely he must have," Valinn agreed with a slight frown. "Master?"
Regarn nodded shortly. "Come," he said, striding off in the opposite direction. "I believe Master Yoda is still meditating in the Room of a Thousand Fountains. We will speak to him first, and he can decide from there what further action needs to be taken."

"I'm terribly sorry for any discomfort you are experiencing at the moment, Master Mek," Ziatan apologized, his expression one of deep regret. "This was not originally intended to include you -at least, not any more than the other Jedi. It is regrettable that I had to remove you, but I couldn't have you revealing my plans. Your Padawan is young and inexperienced; no one will pay her much heed. But your reputation makes you far more dangerous, Master Mek, and I will take no risks." He paused and set down the datapad, drawing closer to the durasteel table. "Do not worry about your sudden blindness to the Force; it's only another necessary precaution. I may eventually allow you some access, though that remains to be seen. I can shield myself as I wish and therefore avoid detection, but I cannot trust you to do the same. And we can't have them tracking you that easily, now can we?"

K'yahn shook his head. The feeling was dissipating slowly, but he still felt shaky. It was probably best to stay seated right now.
"There's nothing wrong that you--or anyone else--can change, but I felt a death through the Force. I think something pretty bad has happened, and I can't do a thing about it right now except see to your needs," he said to the pilot.
"Is there anything you want, right now?" he asked. Hopefully Jasson wouldn't need anything, in which case he could find the source of the wave of emotion, and find out what had caused it.

(I just realized that we don't exactly have a bio for Ziatan so I'm winging it)
Tynira controlled herself, with much more effort than usual, and looked up unflinchingly at the Jedi Knight as he loomed over her. His height only made him seem more menacing.
Forcing calm into her voice while feeling none was harder than she thought. The Jedi Master started to reach for him through the Force, but couldn't. "Brother, you speak as though I am an enemy to be feared. What cause have you for anger and wariness? I may be blind to the Force, but I can still see that there is much that you are not at peace with." She lay still, not resisting the energy cuffs.
==============
"Anything I want?" Jasson repeated, more sarcastically than usual. He was just glad that the padawan, who seemed not much younger than himself, hadn't passed out. That would have been awkward, to say the least. "I want my plane. And a working body. And several attractive women. And another month of leave."

Lol, Valera--I laughed when I read Jasson's part.
----
K'yahn raised his head to look at Jasson, letting a smile appear on his face. So far, Xereb was fulfilling all the stereotypes of pilots that K'yahn had ever heard.
"I'm afraid you can't have any of those right now, Jasson," K'yahn said, putting a slight touch of sadness on his smile. It wasn't hard--he did feel sad right now, though certainly not because of anything that had to do with the pilot.
"In a few days, you'll have your working body, and then you can go and see about the attractive women. However, for another month of leave, you'll have to talk to your commanding officer. And as for your fighter, once again, I'm afraid I don't know what its condition is, but it is unavailable in here, so you can't have that right now, either."

"Well, you seem to know all the answers, don't you?" The pilot tried lifting an arm and found, much to his satisfaction, that the effort didn't fatigue him. He lifted the other arm to join it and clasped his hands, rotating them outward and inward to stretch his arms somewhat.
He ran an eye over the padawan again. Jedi were noted for their serenity - almost to the point of having extremely blank expressions - but this one had the haunted look in the eyes that Jasson had come to associate with tragedy. "Tough luck, huh?" he asked after a moment. "How long have you been here, anyway?"

"I've been at the Temple since I was just a young child," K'yahn replied. "I was raised and trained here, until I was taken as a Padawan."
He felt the presences of other Jedi at the area where he had felt the death knell through the Force, and knew that they would be other Healers--normal Jedi just wouldn't have felt it. It had been masked somehow, to keep it from spreading. Which meant another Force-user. This wasn't going to be good.
He smiled weakly at the pilot. "I'm sorry--I keep getting distracted, and I should be offering you my full attention. I beg your pardon."

((Gah...my bad, folks. Been kinda busy this week, and this RPG managed to just completely slip my mind Valera, I can post a bio for Ziatan if you like...))
Ziatan scoffed. "I do not fear you. I do not fear the Jedi. If anything, I pity you." He paused, continuing to stride around the room. "The Jedi are blind," he said bluntly. "The Sith are rising. Yet still the Council does nothing, content to rest in the pretext that they have forever eliminated that threat. A war is coming, Master Mek. My former master forsaw it, as have I. The Darkness is building. It waits, ever patient, ever growing. It knows. The complacency of the Jedi will be their downfall if something is not done now."
He stopped his pacing, resting his hands on the durasteel table. "For ages the Jedi have preached of how the Chosen One will bring balance to the Force by destroying the Sith. They are wrong. Pure Light is no more balanced than pure Dark. The Chosen One will purge the Order. Reduce it to ashes, and the Sith along with it. Only then can the perfect Order be created. The perfect balance of Light and Dark...Who better to create this balance than me?"

((Arg! So sorry... I really need to keep up with all of the RPGs I'm in. Heck, I'm the one who created this one! Whats wrong with me?! ))
Naru nodded. They needed to talk to Master Yoda. Now. Silently headed down the many crowded hallways of the jedi temple, she found her way to the room of a thousand fountains in no time. And sure enough, there, on his seat, was Master Yoda. Quietly standing near him, she waited until he acknowledged her. Soon he did, and looked at her, then the two other jedi in the room.
"Ah, good it is, to see you all.... Need something do you? A cloud of fear, I sense in you, Padawan Naru Kara." At this, Naru inclined her head, and Yoda looked toward Regarn for an answer.
((Sorry if I did Yoda wrong... I've never tried to play him before... ))

"No, younger brother," Tynira corrected gently. "The Sith have been destroyed." This she spoke with absolute certainty. "The Chosen One will bring balance to the Force, it is true - but have you forgotten that equibrium can be created in the Light?" She closed her eyes, fatigue creeping in. "Do you think that you are the Chosen One? Is that what you foresaw? Or was it merely a dream? You must question, Ziatan, always question."
What had he seen, to make him act so? Kidnapping a fellow Jedi... former master. That had had an air of finally in it. "Where is Gara'tur?" The master ... a Sith always killed his master ... "Are you a Sith?" The question came out in a whisper.
=========
Jasson's mouth twisted in a half-grin, and he lowered his arms. "Don't apologize. I never do. I'm fine, really - apart from the malfunctioning body and the absense of anything mechanical. So if you've got anything else to do, you'd better do it, because I'm getting this sudden urge to pass out. And I also have the feeling that I'll be really hungry when I wake up. Shoo."

"Master Yoda," Regarn said, bowing before the diminuitive Jedi Master. "We were wondering if you might know anything concerning the whereabouts of Tynira Mek. She was not meditating as she told her padawan she would be, and neither Naru nor I can sense her presence in the Force."
"I felt a disturbance only a few minutes ago, but never found anything," Valinn added. "The Force urged me to hurry to one of the training rooms, but when I arrived, the room was empty."
"What would you advise, Master?" Regarn asked, inclining his head slightly.

"Hardly," Ziatan replied dryly. "The Sith blind themselves with their raw passion, much as the Jedi do with their supposed 'un-attached compassion.'" He paused, then recited, "'Peace is a lie, but so is Passion. There is only Apathy. Through apathy I gain fear. Through fear I gain respect. Through respect I gain power. Through power I gain victory.'
"You ask how I have determined that I am the Chosen One. It is my belief that the key to the Chosen One is not that he has been chosen, but rather that he has chosen. Anyone who believes himself to be powerful enough could be a Chosen One. I believe, and therefore, I am. Do not lecture me about visions; I saw what I saw. Fire, death, destruction. A masked being cloaked in black, a mere shell of the man he once was. The Jedi being completely wiped out, down to the last Youngling. This is the future, Master Mek, if we do not act now. It is coming more swiftly than you think."

Lol, Valera. I can't think of many times I've seen the term "Shoo" used in an RPG. It fits pretty well.
----
K'yahn nodded his head. He probably should do something besides going off to find out who had just been killed--such as keeping his patient from passing out--but his curiousity was increasing by the minute, as was his trepidation.
"Very well, Jasson," he said, heading towards the door. "I'll see to it that you have food waiting when you wake up again."
He ducked out the door, and began running--whoever had died had been fairly close by. His feet made soft thuds as they hit the floor, and several other Jedi stuck their heads out of various doorways to find out what his hurry was. He brushed them off with an 'I'll explain later' look and kept running.
He finally skidded to a halt in front of the room where the death-knell had emitted from. Several Healers were already standing there, their faces concerned.
"What has happened, Masters?" he asked them. "I felt death through the Force, and it was masked."

(yeah, a bio would be nice if you could get one together)
Tynira opened her eyes, gravely inspecting the Jedi Knight. "Who is 'we', Ziatan? And how do you know that these visions that you have seen are the future, and not the results of the actions that you are now taking? Were they not dreams of someone ... 'purging the Order'?" She closed her eyes again, aware that she was exhausted, yet unwilling to rest before she had a fuller picture of his plans. And escape ... she should think of escape. If she could not reason with him or stop him, the Council must be warned.
===========
The pilot watched the apprentice Jedi walk out the door, and then begin running. Something must really be bothering him. Well, he'd never really understood the Jedi. Half-magicians, half-policemen, half-ambassadors .... wait, that was three halves.
He had an excuse. He'd just survived a crash landing on a planet's surface, he had internal injuries, and he was tired. And this bed was very, very nice. He felt the world fading, and slept.
