I guess you could say that... I mean, for example, us girls find their way of fighting totally stupid (bashing each other up isn't going to get anywhere!), and they don't find the sense in solving a problem with words like we do (yes, the words can get a bit... ummm... let's just say not-thought-through-enough-so-they-can-be-interpreted-as-something-highly-offensive.
Does everyone get what I mean by that? :P)

Another example is how they control their emotions. We let it all out with boxes of tissues and blocks of chocolate at the ready, while guys keep it all in and don't really want to tell anyone, especially their friends, for fear of rejection.

It's quite true, guys and girls see things from totally different perspectives! Guys are far more physical, girls more emotional (duh). For example, my brother's gf was complaining about one of her teachers. My Mum said: "Oh, that's terrible -insertnamehere-, you should report him to the administration!" While my brother replied with, "I'll go beat him up!' (Well, he is 15, over 6' and 200 pounds of muscle..but still...)

Girls see how to deal with things verbally, guys immediately think of the fastest way to get something done, like fighting. Now, those are very broad generalisations, but the pattern is there.

I would definately agree with that. However, girls usually fight with their words, which can almost be worse than something physical. Girls are really vicious with their words.

I yell at people with a sweet smile on my face. No, really, it annoys them to death and beyond.
And I found that I share certain views with guys ... a mind of a normal girl is not for a geek girl to understand

Well, actually, I keep most of my feelings in, unless things are going really tough.

Every single one of my friends must know how I am feeling at any given moment...I just talk too much anyway. I agree about the guy's not talking that much, my mates would rather have their tongues nailed to a table than talk about how they felt about anything. They don't fight a lot, though...the only people that have ever come inside with bloody noses and bruises everywhere are me and my friend when we had some kind of disagreement :P

yeah, girls are all over the place with their emotions, guys remind me of clams, and keep their emotions hidden, unless its anger etc. And yeah, girls are more willing to talk a situation, than bash at it. I think thats becuase the average woman is certainly not as strong as a man(physically), but mentally, i think we're smarter

Emotions, what a fun subject.
I tend to agree with everyone, boys usually bottle it in. Although I do know a few girls who bottle it in worse than any boy I have ever met. (It makes it very hard to fix a problem when someone is like that, I know from personal experiences.)

This is, once again, where it's obvious how different I am than most girls.

Rather than being open and effusive with my emotions, I lock them inside at all costs, and pretty much feel like killing myself if I so much as let someone else see me cry. I try my hardest to make sure no one knows what I'm thinking and feeling. This means that people often perceive me as being cold and distant, which, to be honest, I am often OK with. I try to be as nice as possible to people, because I love everyone in the world, but I don't let them see inside me unless by some miracle I learn to trust them.

So in some ways I think I'm almost more like a guy in that way. However, in other ways my view on things is certainly a girl's.

I usually show my feelings ... normal ones, happiness, hyperness, tiredness ... but when it gets tought I bottle them up inside myself, put on a wide smile and run for the nearest corner/toilet to cry.. You'll never see me cry in front of people.

I don't usually let people see me cry because then they're all "Oh, are you all right? Do you want to talk? Maybe we should talk to your mom?" And all you really want to do is let it out. If I'm angry, I'll deffinitely let the person know ^_^ LOL. With some I hint at it more subtly than others but I generally let the person know.

^ I used to be like that, but i would get so sad and angry becuase no one would comfort me if i was sad etc. Eventually it got so bad I:
Lost all of my friends(whom i now have back)
Started to fail my classes
Got depressed and thought about suicide/slitting my wrists etc.
Yelled at everyone
And a bunch of stuff i regret, now, im free with my emotions, if someone sees me crying, thats fine with me... i find it easier to live my life if i let my emotions be shown

(I've never told anyone about any of that stuff about cept my parents...)

^That's where it all falls down... when you really are going through pain (in my case, I was broken hearted and depressed beyond endurance for a while) sometimes you need a shoulder to lean on.

However, I had no one. Every shoulder I tried to lean on fell away. No one listened to me. Not even my family. The only person who listened was God, which is how I got through it.

Talking to no one about how you feel, more specifically having no one to talk to is very, very, very difficult. I would rather undergo physical torture than do that again. In the end I have found friends who are the sweetest people on earth, who I can sometimes open up to. But it is still a great struggle with me, and I only open up when I know it would be dangerous not to.

I suppose it comes with my age, but depression sucks. It comes on cloudy days, it comes if someone is rude, it comes with disappointments and sometimes it comes even when I'm having a perfectly good time. That's when it's a good time to have friends you know you can depend on through thick or thin. I've yet to find a friend like that. I don't tend to make best friends because I like to move around to different places too much but I've learned that best friends are a rare commodity, they're hard to come by and you should be really grateful when they come.
