Agreed when you read it over again it seems to change or you learn more that you didn't know. But I always find something amazing reading them over. How did you find out about them? An adult in my school used to read us outloud the Magacian's Nephew. I loved it so much I read the others. And have been hooked since. This movie may be big but I have always been a Narnia fan.

I had to read The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe in school, and we acted out a part...then someone bought me the set in 5th grade, and then I read the rest!

Hmmm...those pictures...
Well that never happened in the book - being on the ice and all. But I never trust teaser trailers as in most of them there are scene/s that never appear in the finished film. It difficult really to comment on it as there are things that are bound to be changed and added.

Linariel wrote: Yeah I agree with you each of the pictures has these captions:
Peter’s plan of escape from the wolves.
Peter’s sword pierces the ice, cutting off the wolves’ access to the Pevensies.
Peter rescues Susan from the icy river.
Lucy, Susan, and Peter, lying flat on a chunk of ice.
^I think they might be changing Peter, Susan, and Lucy's journey to Aslan. You know making it more amazing. But I don't believe any of these were in the book
i'm not sure if i agree with the captions for myself, though. ugh, it's really hard to explain, and i'm not even sure. lol and as Johnny's Fan said, it's a possiblity that those scenes won't be in the film...that kind of thing happened with LotR.
but yes, Father Christmas gave them their gifts, then they met Aslan.

I have just finished the BBC series (they didn't een adapt the last book!) and ...err..it's was pretty dire. Puddleglum among other things was particularly bad. I don't know why but I've always imagined him with a kind Hobbit accent. But that could just be me. It was a very dull series.

the floating on ice scenes weren't in the book, and they might cut it out eventually because of loyal book fans like us.

*goes hunting for another random picture* ah, here we are.
what do you guys think about this one?
http://www.narniaweb.com/gallery.asp?img=784&n=12&p=8
i think it looks a bit too...oh what am i trying to say...big, drastic, huge. i don't remember it being such a gigantic climax in the book. i mean, it was only Aslan's camp on the 'good side'. and man, that's a lot of centaurs! it looks as if they're trying to make it this huge, great battle at the end, like LotR. it seems like Lewis' battles weren't always that big, you know? the first time i read The Last Battle, i thought it would be everybody in Narnia just fighting for their lives when really - well, you all probably know what happened on Stable Hill.
anyway...just stating my opinion. maybe i'm too much of a purist.

That's a good picture. Well I'm not that bothered about how many there are. It's quite obvious that there are more good animals and creatures living in Narnia that are ever mentioned so it's quite possible that from every corner these centaurs etc have come to help. No doubt more have been added for dramatic purpsoses but let's look at it this way.
A major battle between good and evil is being fought...with a few centaurs, fauns, rabbits, dogs and a giant? On paper it works well but on a film when this is what the whole picture has been moving towrads? I think it would be a little disappointing.

yes, you do have a point. and yeah, it is an excellent picture, nevertheless. okay...how about this one?
http://www.narniaweb.com/gallery.asp?img=699
i love it. i think they chose the right people for the Pevensie kids. and although they may be older than they are in the book, i think it will turn out for the better.
your opinion, my friends?

I am more than happy with how they look..whether they will be good actors I don't know. Sorry..I don't like kid actors on the whole (heck I don't even like kids)...I am still recovering from the Harry Potter films! I was actually quite pleased with the kids from the BBC series..except maybe Lucy? But no, I think they'll play the parts well. Does Lucy look a little bit young or is it just me?

In a way I agree with you Gwenneth the battle is a bit drastic. But you never know really how freice the battle was cause Tolkien barely describe it. But you never know. Still I think it sounds like fun how they are going to do it. But you are right it's pretty drastic to do this when the battle wasn't that amazing. Still you never know it might be fun!
