Jack's eyes grew wide and his eyebrows bent. His body nearly sent off an eletric pulse again.

The condition of Jack's mutation was growing worse. And he knew it. It seemed that now, everytime someone would just even touch him, an electrical wave would surge through his veins and he was having a harder time stopping it.

"Move away.." Jack simply said before he turned his back away from Ragetti and saunted towards Tia Dalma.

"Captain Renyolds?" Barbossa responded. "He ought to be around here somewhere. Didn't see his ship, Serenity, around. AH" As he spotted the slow sinking line of a ramp, where ships would slowly be built. The buildings near it, some of them now had vines, among other planet life living on them. Seemed to be in a state of disrepair.. But with the looks of recent activity..
"Look familar?" Barbossa asked Jack..

Tia waved a hand dismissively. "Familiar or not, we have business dere, so better sooner dan later, aye?"

"Sleep? Talk?" Bootstrap offered, shrugging and settling down onto the deck with his back up against the mainmast. He had several questions that he wanted to ask, but he found himself unsure of how to word them. He'd thought that perhaps with his son fully-grown now, being a father might come a bit more naturally, but he was rapidly discovering that he was just as inept now as he had been over a decade ago. "So..." he finally said, looking up at the two of them. "Will never got th' chance t' tell me: how did you two meet? How long've you known each other?"

Ragetti pulled himself together and responded, "Well, it's not like I meant it or anything!" He lifted his chin pridefully and sniffed in the cool air.
-------------------------------------------------------------

Will's eyes lifted to Bootstrap with a glimmer of rememberance, "Elizabeth and I met by accident. We were very young."

Elizabeth smiled and wrapped her arm in Will's, "It's true. We were young children. And we've known eachother since."

"Aye, that was specific," Bootstrap replied dryly. "I meant, how did ye both even up here? I know Will was raised in...Glasgow and...Liverpool, not the Caribbean. How did ye both wind up across th' ocean, an' on th' same island, no less?"

(LOL! I'm going to try my best at this story POTR....so bare with me, if I'm a little off.... :-P)

Will stood up slowly and stared his father in the eye, "After mother died, I boarded a ship to set sail and look for you. But as I was aboard, pirates attacked our vessel. I tried my best to remain hidden, but soon had to jump overboard for fear of my life....many of the crewmen were killed in front of my eyes." Will sighed and continued, "Clutching to a floating plank of wood, I passed out......that is all I remember, until,"

At that moment, Elizabeth stood up and continued, "Until I found him drifting in the ocean. After the men pulled him aboard, I looked after him." Her eyes shifted for a moment, as if remembering, "That is when I took the medallion and discovered that he was a pirate himself....at least that's what I thought when I was a young girl." She smiled and looked back up to Bootstrap.

Will continued, "That is how we both ended up in the Caribbean. I was taken back with them and grew up in the same area as Elizabeth."

"Aye.." Davey Jones replied to James Norrington coldly and desperately wanting to kill the man.

His crab-leg thumped across the deck as he shouted out loud demanding orders to the crew of the Flying Dutchman to make all haste to Crab Island.

_____________

Jack eyed Ragetti ever once in a while as the four of them made their way. He didn't trust the man with the one eye, and even if the man had two eyes, he still wouldn't trust him. What was his name again anyway?

Jack shrugged physically to his mind and decided to look to Tia Dalma instead, "So, our plans are?"

"Fix ye precious Pearl, set sail, an' destory Cutler Beck-ett," Tia explained, glancing sideways at Jack. "Now, if de cap'n will please lead de way..."

Bootstrap's gaze fell back down to the deck at the mention of Will's mother. "Oh..." Of course he'd known that his wife was dead. Aside from the fact that he could just feel it, he'd reached the conclusion himself upon seeing Will in the Caribbean. It was the only logical explanation, and he knew that. He'd just never heard it verbally confirmed before. " Ye remind me a lot of 'er, I think," he finally said quietly, clearing his throat and looking up at Elizabeth. "Same spirit...same determination."

Jack looked back to Ragetti and Barbossa, then turned his neck to glance down at Tia's darker face, "Right.." he finally said.

"Follow me.." With that, Jack Sparrow whistled to the three of them to do so, and notioned for them to follow. He then led them inside the cobblestone building where they might just find the ship refitter they were looking for. And hopefully, just hopefully, the man inside would help, and not start calling curses upon Jack's mutated state instead.

Meanwhile the Flying Dutchman cut across the waves, and slowly started to near the small piece of land called Crab Island...

Elizabeth gently smiled to Bootstrap and blushed, "Really?" Her eyes sparkled with curiousity.

Will wrapped his arm around Elizabeth's waist and pulled her close to his side. "Yes, she does have determination." He grinned as he kissed her on the cheek and then he looked back to his father, "How did you meet my mother?"
----------------------------------

Ragetti followed Jack and the others, but his mind shifted to the thought of Jack's awkward appearance. His normal eye scanned Jack up and down with uncertainty.

Pintel followed Jack too, then came up next to Ragetti and elbowed him.
"Stop staring. It ain't polite!" he mumbled...

Bootstrap closed his eyes, struggling to bring up long-faded memories. "I was...probably in my late twenties or so...Young merchant sailor, married t' Lady Sea and content t' have no other...One night on shore leave, evenin' b'fore settin' sail again, I encountered a young lady named...Kate." He paused, mentally berating himself for even having to try to remember that. "Little spitfire, she was, an' likely not more'n eighteen. She wasn't like th'...usual company one found in a port like that. Don' remember exac'ly what transpired, but I remember thinkin' it was a pity that nice girls like her always got snatched up long afore I could make it back t' port. Anyhow, I set sail th' next day like nothin' had happened, figurin' it was for th' best. 'Bout six months later, I happened t' be back in that port an', as luck would have it, chanced across that same young lady in th' market. We got t' talkin', an' before I knew it, I found myself marryin' her close to a year later." He shook his head, discreetly brushing his eyes with the back of his hand. "I've pulled a lot o' stunts in my lifetime, an' had more cases of pure luck than I've any business havin', but to this day I've no clue how I pulled that one off," he continued with a wry grin, talking more to himself now than anyone else. "Kate could've done far better'n some poor sailor from Glasgow...she deserved so much better. She always claimed t' see somethin' in me that nobody else saw...I'm startin' to think she must've been blind."

Tia followed closely behind Jack as they entered the small shop. The interior did not seem to be in any better condition than the exterior, and quite possibly even worse. Various items were strewn here and there and everywhere with no sense of organization (though Tia was certain that her own shack had achieved a far higher standard of chaos and general disarray), making the tiny room seem even smaller. There were no workers to be seen, but a bell was hung up above what might possibly be conceived as a front desk. Tia quickly made her way through the clutter and rang it impatiently, waiting for someone to emerge.

"Half a moment!" a voice came from somewhere in the back. "I'll be righ' with ye!"

"Come on mate..step to...we don't 'ave all bloody day.." Jack said with a irritated tone in his voice.

The room was too cramped and hot, his upper body was aching with new growths and Pintel and Ragetti's silent comments towards his appeareance was starting to get Jack moody.

Ragetti shrugged his shoulders, "Der's nothin' wrong with that.....I can stare at 'im if I want." He pushed his way past Pintel and stood directly next to Jack. His eye stanned up and down Jack's deformed body.
------------------------------------------

Will listened intently to his father's memories of his mother. He smiled as he remembered her face when he was younger. "I miss her....." Will said silently, "She was such a loving mother to me."

Elizabeth felt sorry for both men before her, but mostly for Bill. "She was not blind. I can see why she found something in you that no one else could. I see much of William in you. I fell in love with Will's qualities and respect for women."

She stood up and gently placed a hand on Bootstrap's hard shoulder, "I am glad that you will become my father-in-law."

Bootstrap looked up in surprise, having halfway forgotten that the two were standing there. "Aye?" he asked, laughing humorlessly. "Good. Glad t' hear I didn't completely destroy my son's chances at a decent life, though I s'pose no credit goes t' me." He turned back to Will, his expression serious once more. "You hang onto this one, Will," he said soberly, nodding in Elizabeth's direction. "Ye treat 'er like a queen every day, an' don't you dare leave 'er like I did you an' your mother. You've got yer mother's heart; don't ruin it with yer father's foolishness. Behind every strong man, there's a stronger woman holdin' his leash."

A loud crash came from the same direction as the voice had, and moments later a small, elderly man stumbled through the door. "Was plannin' on replacin' that anyhow..." he muttered, throwing a last dark glare in the direction of the doorway before turning his attention to business. "G'afternoon gentlemen an' lady. Jed's th' name, builder, supplier, an' repairer of all things nautical. How may I- Lor' Almighty!" he exclaimed suddenly, crossing himself hastily upon seeing Jack. Clearing his throat and edging slightly away from the strange man, he haltingly continued. "H-how...How may I be o' service to ye?"

Jack's eyes glided over the withered old man who was growing pale as a ghost and looked to be having systems of a heart attack.

The young pirate brushed that fact off quite quickly and edged his way towards the man, "Ye repair ships aye mate?" he asked as he started to lean into the man's face.
