Eligh, seemingly just now noticing his injury, looked at his swelling ankle, and then back up at Rayen.
"Well, theres not much to be done about it... So I dont suppose so. Come on, lets go and find that ancient historian." He said, limping away towards Zhicoals home, trying to prove that he could walk.

"Oh, yeah, I guess that might help." Aeryn walked over to Kithsytha and whispered into her ear and then he mounted her, offering Annalett a hand. Then, with them both on, he said, "Hold on tight." right before Kithsytha took off in flight, back towards the shop.
She was there in a matter of minutes and Aeryn unmounted after Annalett did. He nodded to her and said, "Thank you for the sword, agian, my lady."

Annalett got off, and nodded.
"Move in when ever you want," she said..
Amoniel wrote: Everya left Eligh's house after a while and called for Remnee. The eagle swooped down. "Take me to the black smith, I need to put in an order for a new sword." Everya said, settling herself on the eagle's feathered back. The eagle took off, spreading out her wings. A surge of wind caught Everya in the face as the eagle flew toward the blacksmiths shop. Once they landed, Everya slid to the ground and walked into the shop. "Hello?" She asked, not seeing Annalett.
Annalett walked into her shop to find Everya.
"Yes?" she answered...

"I'm in need of a new sword." She said, smiling at the blacksmith, "I heard you were the best around here, so I came to you."

Annalett nodded.
"Aye, I am the place to go when you need a new sword. What kind do you need, and is there a certain way you want your hilt? Or any carvings on the blade?" the blacksmith said...

Rayen sighed a little exasperatedly as Eligh stubbornly began to limp away in the direction of the Zhicoal. She walked up beside him, motioning for Adahy to follow. She did not suppose they should ride, even though it would be faster, for fear that some of the invaders might spot them easier from the ground.
"What do you think they could be?" she asked quietly. She knew that neither of them really had any idea about the strangers, but she supposed that speculation couldn't hurt anything. Besides being frightened, she was also more than a bit curious.

Selbren sighed, they had been flying aimlessly for hours now. So Zephranus flew low, and the two soon spotted two of their own kind.
Ones limping noted Zaphranus, and Selbren agreed.
We should help them... he hesitated.
It's good to make friends, advised Zaphranus.
I know...
Eagle and rider landed not far infront of Eligh and Rayen.
"Need help?" he asked, as he slid off his eagle...

Aeryn nodded to her and then mention he'd be bacj around sundown. He wanted to fly again...the wind going against him felt so good. He felt...free....a feeling he always longed to feel.

She knew that neither of them really had any idea about the strangers, but she supposed that speculation couldn't hurt anything. Besides being frightened, she was also more than a bit curious.
Eligh, still limping, sighed before replying,
"I... Well I honestly don't have the slightest idea. I would ask Norakai to check it out, but that might endanger us. I just hope their not from Jiet..." Eligh shuddered, "That place gives me the creeps just thinking about it." After this remark, he stayed silent until they reached the worn down, rather isolated home of Zhicoal. He had many old, dried out windchimes hanging over his low porch, acompanied by several hand-me-down chairs. The sage green paint that had once incased the house was nearly all gone, and that which was left was old and cracked. Eligh walked up on the porch, and then peeked inside to see if he was home. As he did so, a stream of smoke escaped through the small opening between the door and the wall. Eligh coughed, and Zhicoal, long pipe in hand, rose from his seat, hunched over his desk.
"Oh!" He seemed surprised. "Hello, Eligh! I was wondering if you might come by one of these days and pay your old friend a visit..." His voice faded off as he reached for his wooden cane, which was fashoned from a oak root. "And hello to you too, young lady! Its nice to see young couples these days..." His voice faded once again, but this time into a gap-toothed, wheezy laugh. Eligh's lips straightened into a tight line. They had buisness.
"Zhicoal, we - meaning Rayen, Norakai, Adahy, and I, need your expertise. We saw somthing in the canyon." Zhicoal, now looking at Eligh intently, shook his head.
"No no no no no no... You must be mistaken, dear boy. Why I havn't seen people besides the Yanua in these parts for they past eighty years!" Besides being known as a rather odd, slightly insane historian, Zhicoal was also the longest-lived Yanua in the village. But, if you put aside the wiry white hair that seemed to be anything but orderly, and that one of his eyes did not function properly, giving him an almost mad sorceror look, he was a perfectly fine, honest man. And he was very smart.
As Zhicoal looked at Eligh with an innocent, but sure gaze, Eligh opened his mouth to speak, but then decided the better of it and leaned over towards Rayen.
"How do you think we can convince him? He may be... Odd, but he isn't going to buy this all that easily."

Suppressing his apprehension, Tlenes looked down upon the Yanua village. He'd flown over many times, but he hadn't landed here in years. Down on the ground, he spotted a small congregation of Toru-hi surrounding a limping man and another young woman. As he watched, they entered a dwelling he remembered faintly to be the home of some old historian.
They won't recognize you. And they'll hardly welcome you, Evandyr warned.
Evincing a perfectly diabolical grin, he shook his mane of unkempt hair from his face. All the more reason to pay them a friendly visit. You think they'd invite me to tea?
Evandyr made a disdainful noise and landed before the dwelling. Tlenes dismounted and, seeing the street empty, crept up the porch and pressed himself outside the dwelling's door. Suddenly he heard a clarion ringing sound from above. Cursing, he glanced up and realized he's inadvertently set off one of the windchimes as he passed by.

Rayen looked around at the worn home of the Zhicoal curiously. She followed behind Eligh up onto the porch. She had never met the Zhicoal before, and she knew that Eligh had so she figured she would let him initiate the conversation.
She peeked over Eligh's shoulder and saw Zhicoal. If not for the fact that she knew he was a revered, respected, and intelligent historian, she might have chuckled a bit at his appearance. Little wisps of wiry white hair sticking out everywhere and a crazy eye, he seemed anything but sane. But as it was, she kept a straight face.
When Eligh told Zhicoal of their plight, he did not believe them. Rayen, powered by the urgency of the situation, wanted to shake the old man, but she restrained herself.
"I don't know," she whispered in reply to Eligh's question, "We don't have any proof." She bit her bottom lip in thought, racking her brain for a solution.
Then a noise came to her ears. One of the windchimes on the porch had sounded. She drew her eyebrows together and looked back to the door. "Did you hear that?"

(is it okay if Aeryn knows Roanell? if not, i'll edit this....)
Aeryn then spotted a filmiluar face in the skies. He spoke to Kithsytha quickly and she followed Roanell until they landed on the ground. Aeryn slipped off with grace and asked his old friend, "Roanell? What is happening?"

"I expected a better reception," Tlenes greeted with a twisted grin, stepping out from behind the doorframe. The speaker was the green-eyed young woman he'd spotted earlier. His faintly mocking gaze went from her, to the man with the sprained ankle, then to the eccentric historian.
You fool, Tlenes. That's hardly the way to greet the respected Toru-hi. Though he'd wandered the wild for years beside his rider, Evandyr still retained the rigid sense of honor that characterized all Hanari.
No, it's not, the other conceded with a mental shrug. But you have to admit it's entertaining nonetheless. Aloud, he continued, "It's crossed my nonexistent heart to warn you of an upcoming disaster." His blue-gray eyes narrowed. "Though it seems I've come too late."

Vana, wending her ever-purposeful way through the village to some unknown destination, had not intended to stop at old Zhicoal's dwelling. She had no interest in the fanatic old man's ravings, and was icily hostile to most other inhabitants of the village. But nonetheless words caught her attention as she passed.
"...to warn you of an upcoming disaster. Though it seems I've come too late."
Idiots, disaster's here, the Toru-hi are dying left and right... but Vana paused. Only for a moment, then she'd be on her way.
