I would recommend you start with Dragons of Autumn twilight, as Soulforge isn't the best for plotline unless you simply can't get enough of Raistlin.

I love these Chronicles. Especially Rasitlin, I really did love his character in all of the Chronicles.
Seriously... what is with Mina? I don't really like the series after all of the companions have passed, except for Goldmoon, just because it doesn't have the same appeal to it. And Mina.... arghhhh. She just makes me angry.

And I've yet to read the Twins Trilogy... I haven't been able to find it without having to order it.

There's something about the original Companions that so endears them - perhaps the fact that they look good together or the romantic aspect of it, that they never wanted to save the world but in the end they did it anyway. Decades later when they're all gone, Krynn seems a strange and foreign place. When I first began WoS I was trying hard to find something familiar that links Ansalon back to its days of epic glory during the War of the Lance. Familiarity lay with the ever-enduring elven kingdoms, the presence of Khellendros, the few heroes still alive...

and that's where Mina comes in.
