Eligh, at the mention of the Toru-hi, and his father's death, looked down at the floor, hoping that no one could see that his eyes were clouding. Though, through this, he managed to answer Lasuarr's question.
"Aye. Kyenari were aslo there." He siad, trying to keep his voice steady.
Lasuarr nodded slowly.
"I see..." He looked out the window with a prolonged sigh. "That is our reason for hiding." He looked back at the group with a hopeless expression. "That is the reason the centuars fear the full moon."

Inanco frowned. "What do you mean?" he asked. "What do the Kyenari have to do with a full moon?"
He was still nervous around the centaurs, although their casual attitude had calmed him down somewhat.

((They have reached Mienora - home of the centuars - and are currently speaking about the Kyenari. Note: The centuars are very casual with titles.)
Lasuarr sighed, then started speaking, as if recalling an ancient tale of a battle.
"The Kyenari have forever favored the Mienor crater, or Mienora, and thrived here long before any of the centuars came here. But they left, the exact reason unknown, they left and left no trace behind. Then, our ancestors came to this land, unkowning to its history, and established it as Mienora. But, in the next century, each month, on the full moon, a flock of Kyenari came. So thick in numbers that they were able to block out the light of the moon. The toxic oils in their feathers killed many centuars, and drove others to the brink of madness. Even now, hundreds of years later, they still come each full moon, tearing through our homes, killing the weak, injuring our children..." Lasuarr supressed a shudder,
"Its awful." He said, starin off into space. He then continued, "We would have long ago fled Mienora, but the desert is too harsh, and our numbers too many to simply evacuate. That is what this place was supposed to be - an oasis. But, on the contrare," he sighed. "Its a prison."
Eligh looked down at the ground, still, trying to comprehend how horrible it would be to have a monthly death count amoung the Yanua. The thought nearly brought tears to his eyes.

"That's horrible." Everya muttered. Her hatred toward the Kyenari doubled. She looked simpathetically at the Centaur king, it was strange that they avoided formal titles, but she accepted it.

"I'm sorry," Rayen said softly after hearing Lasuarr's story. She didn't know what else to say. She now understood why the centaurs were so edgy on the full moon. "Is there no defense against them?" she asked after a moment of silence, "Or are their numbers too great?"

Lasuarr's eyes seemed slightly emotionless as he answered,
"Well, yes. They're numbers are too great, and drug-like scent that follows them is too dangerous to get near to without risking lives. They are practicly unbeatable."
At this, Eligh's brow furrowed, and he leant over and touched Rayen lightly on the shoulder, and then whispered,
"Do you think that we should ask about the Julare?"

Everya noticed Eligh ask Rayen something but she didn't catch what it was.

"Practically unbeatable." Rayen silently pondered Lasuarr's words. Unbeatable. Well, that certainly was not good news. So lost was she in her thoughts, that she jumped slightly when she felt a touch on her shoulder. She looked over at Eligh when he spoke.
She considered his question for a moment then nodded. "Yes," she replied, "I don't know how much they will be able to help us, but it is worth a try."

((Wait... We've already done this. *facedesk* Alright, lets get some action...))
Eligh was about to speak to Lasuarr, concerning the ful moon, which was a matter of hours away, when a loud, yet somewhat beautiful blast rang through the walls of the domed room, echoing from it's source, the main courtyard. Lasuarr's face fell and filled with dread. He looked at the humans, a new light in his eyes. Yet it wasn't a friendly one.
"Do you have weapons?" He asked, his lips set in a thin line. Eligh looked over at Rayen causiously,
"No." The king's face grew even graver.
"You're going to need them." And before he could even ask, Eligh found himself and the others being lead away to the armory by Thringol.

Inanco went with the rest of the group, albeit reluctantly. The only fighting he'd done in his life had been half-playful fist fights with other boys in the village. He'd never learned to use a weapon for anything beyond hunting.

Rayen's head whirled from side to side, searching for the source of the loud tone blasted through the air. What in the world...? But her attention was riveted back to Lasuarr when he spoke.
"Weapons...?" she said fearfully to Eligh as they were being ushered towards the armory. "Weapons?!" Her voice was more alarmed now. Never in her life had she been a fighter. She wouldn't know how to handle herself in a battle. "This is all happening so quickly," she whispered shakily. Immediately she was embarassed for showing her weakness, and she tried to stand straighter as they walked, but inside she was trembling. Battle? She didn't think she was ready.

Eligh glanced over at Rayen, alarmed at her anxiety. He and the other Toru-hi were probably the only other ones here who had ever picked up a sword. Touching Thringol gently on his back, he got a quick answer,
"Yes, Eligh?" Eligh hesitated, but then asked,
"What... What if we can't all fight?" Looking back at the group, Thringol sighed with nervous, concerned eyes.
"The ones who cannot fight or defend themselves will go into the siege room. But, you must wear blindfolds, as it is secret to all outsiders. Agreed?"

"I can fight." Everya said. She looked at Eligh confidently.

Rayen looked from Eligh to Thringol and back again, considering what had been suggested. She didn't like the idea of being blind folded in a room while Eligh and everyone else were out risking their lives. Making a quick decision, she grabbed Eligh's arm to get his attention.
"I'd rather fight," she said quickly, "I want to help. I... don't really know how, but I want to help."

Eligh looked at her, undecieded. He did want her to stay safe, but he didn't want to control her...
"Alright. But please..... Stay safe. Or I'll never forgive myself."
Thringol nodded.
"Come. We need to get you fitted for battle. The kyenari will be here soon."
