Dakara observed the suroundings...

Mountains, forests, harsh lands of rolling hills stretching as far as the eye could see before blocked by the towering wall of trees and rock.

It was cool, a steady wind blew through the small, long valley that the group stood in now.

Cat blinked, her sharp eyes suprised at the sudden change of scenery. She looked around, shading her eyes from the light, and wincing as it burned down on her skin; It had been a long time since she had seen the sun, but she knew with her age had come a resiliance to it.
"Well,"she murmered, stepping smartly into the shadows and surveyed her new companions "This is something differant."
And indeed, in all her long years, she had never experianced anything like this before. It was enticing.

Dakara then turned his attention to the people who had been transported with him to this strange and unknown land.

First there was a young shapeshifter, Solech

Dakara remembered his file. He had gone over it, being the head of security.

Next was Cathrine Blackadder a Vampire

*waits for others now*

Kith crouched into a fighting stance as the very senery around him changed. There was somthing wierd afoot, he knew it. A suddenly as the flashing had come, it left, leaving him in open wildernes.

Dakara glanced over at Kith, another shapeshifter.

His fighting stance almost jolted Dakara into one as well, but he realized there was no use for it.

Looking around he saw a Tayra tree, a small bush evergreen veriety. Dakara reached out and grasped a piece of the rough bark, dismemberingit from it's branch.

He tore a small piece off and stuck it in his mouth, chewing heavily. Then, with a look of disgust he spit it out. "Hm... Bitter." He said softly to himself.

Solech looked around. He didn't recognize the landscape or the people around him. "Well," he said to the group in general. "this is different."

"Taste this." Dakara stuck a piece of the bark infront of Solech.

Solech took the bark and sniffed at it. "I'm not in the habit of tasting foreign plants." he said. Nevertheless, he gingerly put his tongue on the bark. "Bitter." he said, handing it back to Dakara

"It's a Tayra tree. The farther North you go the more bitter the bark gets. Has to do with the climat they think." he explained.

Cat frowned at them, then folded her arms and then contented herself by looking passive.
She was not used to being around mortals, and did not quiete know what to think of them. Shapeshifters unnerved her anyway, and she felt oddly cornered- Not something she was used to feeling at all.
"Do we know where we are then?"she asked cooly, inspecting them warily.

Dakara turned to the vampire with a raised eyebrow. Brushing back the strands of blue and red in his dark purple hair as the wind shimered through the skies he answered. "North of where we were... That's all I can say. No telling how far north."

Xaviera glanced at her surroundings, not sure of what had happened. "But... where is this?" she asked, sounding a little scared. "And how do we get back?"
She looked at the others, hoping for an answer, but not really expecting one.

She looked at the man with emerald eyes, and smiled warmly"And how would you know that then love?"she drawled, flicking black locks out of her face while the other girl spoke.
Easily, she answered:
"We walk,"the vampire said, leaning backwards against a tree languidly, lazy even when faced with the question that had been first in her mind. "Or, we dont."
The simplicity in her voice was made convincing not only by the way she spoke, but also by a security, that showed she was used to her own way.

Dakara looked over at Xaviera. "We'll have to walk. North." he told her sympathetically.

He then turned back to Cat. "Like I said the farther north you go the more bitter the bark of the Tayra tree becomes. This is more bitter than I have ever tasted it."

Kith, wondering about how a man could tell the northness of a place by the bitterness of bark, or, more accuratly, why a man would want to do so, decided to do some scouting. Without warning to the others: that would make it too easy for them, he lept into the air as a hawk.

"I want to have a look around too." Solech murmured. He shifted to a hawk as well and followed Kith into the air.
