"Did I deserve that..?" Niniën tilted her head and grinned. Then she looked at Denathies and Deawen. "She's right, we should split up.. Even though we were sent out as scouts, a confrontation will be unavoidable now. Their scouts will hunt us down but they don't know these woods." She didn't know what Kolth was up to but she did know she wanted to be part of it and she scolded at herself for leaving her bow at the camp. Niniën took his hand and with a swift movement she climbed on Storm

"Deawen, I insist. If you are found again, they shall overpower you." she said. "I shall go on foot." she glanced darkly at Kolth and turned to leave.

Kolth took deep calming breaths as he dismounted. Denathies was right. Deawen had most likely sprained her ankle, if not broken it. And as much as he hated to admit it, she was a valuble member of his team, dispite the numerous times she pushed Kolth to the brink of lusting for the chance to strangle the very life from her throat. He didn't want to mark her down as a casualty. "Mount up behind and ride to the camp" He comanded gruffly. "And mind you, don't pull too much on Storm's riegns. He's not like your prissy-footed excuse for a horse, and I've worked hard to keep his mouth sore. And don't forget to clean off that "disguise" of yours"

Deawen strained her neck to seem taller than her 'impressive' 5ft When Kolth dismounted Deawen hobbled four feet away from him avoiding his reach. even though she was not easily intimidated she stayed out of Kolth's way, she just found other ways to defy and irratate him. " He's not prissy footed! Bredol has seen more battles than you can name! " Deawen seethed she hobbled right up to kolth not even reaching his nose " I suppose thats and order too?" Deawen challenged.

"Yes, that is an order" Kolth growled. "Believe it or not, there is a scrap, mind you, its a small scrap, that cares for your well being. Now get, before I tie you up there!"

"Well, look at it from the bright side.." Niniën winked at Kolth "Now you get some excersise instead of riding that horse every time." She helped Deawen with mounting Storm. Then she looked at Denathies and then at Kolth: "Should I bring you horses from the camp? Or do you have other eh, orders? "

Deawen relaxed slightly she snorted and turned away. walking as fast as she dared, to Storm. she scrambled up behind the saddle and held on to a D ring. she looked sullen at being dismissed before starting off she took off her spurs " last thing i need is this horse to spook' She sighed and softly nudged Strom. she Turned around " Don't be afriad if the prissy-footed horse of mine growls at you...."Deawen snickered and rode off.
Deawen groaned as her foot bounced, " He's punishing me...for my mistake.." Deawen said to no-one She urged Storm into a canter the smoothest movement off a non-gaited horse.
The forest was begining to thin out slightly but they were still close to the Caravan. Storm flicked his tail in warning that he did not like Deawen's set pace " Just like him..." Deawen said sliding off gingerly they had been riding for an hour and half Deawen decided to stop to water the horse.

Denathies glared at the two. "Stop it!" she cried. "By the gods, you shall bring the Gondorians down upon us with your quarelling! As commander, you are supposed to be of a higher maturity!" she accused. "I shall stay here and cover your exit as I said before." she told Niniën. "Don't bother with a horse, I'll walk." she said bitterly. She was known for her at time explosive temper, but this day Deawen and Kolth were stretching her limitations of patience.

"And as a member under my command you are suppose to heed my orders!" He growled. "Andcome with us back to the camp. You'll do little good gaurding our backs by your lonesome." That wasn't ment to be deragatory: Denathies was an accomplished fighter. However, she would be but one fighting against many. She would be killed, and Kolth would loose a fine scout. It would be better she come with them.

She glared. "Forgive me for not wishing to jump to do your bidding after the childish display here." she said pointedly. "You underestimate me. If I die, I die in the service of our tribe. Would you rather have them attack the defenceless of our village? Have them follow us and kill our families?" she asked. "If you care so much for my well-being, then stay. Deawen should return to have her ankle healed."

" Niniën, how is it you can follow Kolth's orders with such obediance?" Deawen asked suddenly sitting by a tree and forceing her boot off her injured ankle she hissed as she saw it. her ankle was slightly swollen but now black. she limped to the stream and dipped her foot in the cold water. after some of the swelling went down she formed a spilnt over her ankle and put her boot back on.

Niniën grinned though she did not dismount. "Which orders? As far as I know Kolth didn't give me any orders." Her smile was mischievious now, but changed in a worried frown when she glanced at Deawen's ankle. "I'll get you some herbs when we're back at the camp... We should be on our way again.." Eventhough there was no sign of any scout for the forest was peaceful and quiet, she felt a chill go down her spine. "You know, you should try to understand Kolth's character, or anyway act as if you do." She offered Deawen her hand to help her mount and continued with a grin, "That way he won't think you to be any trouble."

Deawen laughed " but thats the thing Kolth doesn't have to give a direct order he expects you to have the intergirty to do what is expected...but You see i lack that After commanding a force of a thousand for five years you no longer have to obey someone's elses orders it was nice." Deawen said limping back to the horse. She was smiling " Understand what?! He can't stand that i challenge him, I make up my own mind to do things " Deawen explained once she was on the horse " Trouble?!? I am not trouble I am reckless!" Deawen laughed again "well we better get going before he catches up and fries us..."

Without waiting for Kolth's reply, she hid in the brush nearby, blending in. She drew her bow and waited for the first Gondorians to pass.
