"Oh yes," Melody replied, "There are all different kinds of worlds. And as far as I know, Kesthir is one of the only ones who knows how. And isn't powerhungry." She looked up at the sky as a shudder ran down her spine.

"We really must get inside quickly. Come on."

Arielle wondered if she was making a point about someone being powerhungry, but didn't ask as they made their way toward the building.

Ciaran followed along behind the others, listening to their conversations. He was growing more and more confused as he tried to keep up with all the strange words and statements.
Maybe this Kesthir was messing with the senior's-with all of their minds. Ciaran liked a good fantasy novel as much as the next person, but he didn't actually think it was real. That's why it was called fantasy, after all. He shook his head and kept walking.

As usual, Conrad trudgedalong at the very end of the line. His mind wasn't grasping all this- and decided to let the geeks handle it. He had worse things to thinkabout, like how the heck he was going to find a place to smoke without the accursed cowgirl stopping him.

It hadn't clicked in the delinquent yet, that this might *actually* be happening. Wild dreams had always plagued him. This was surely another one.

"Solved the mystery yet bro?" he whsipered teasing over Ciaran's shoulder. It was plain the Scot... or Irish or whatever he was... kid was doing some serious thinking.

((Ehhhh, I'm behind. *Attempts to jump in again*))

Merry was really finding all this delightful to the extreme. And why could they all not go a little faster to meet this dragon? She'd never even entertained the possibility of ever meeting a dragon for REAL! No point in trying to figure it out, they were obviously in some sort of fantasy world - why not try to enjoy it?

She grinned briefly to herself.

Ciaran looked back at Conrad. He shook his head. "Nope. I'm still trying to figure out just what the mystery is-that we're here, that the seniors are here, that they don't remember Kandlemoore, or all of the above." He grinned, or rather forced himself to.
Ciaran had tried to be friendly to Conrad in the past, but the senior had made it very difficult.

Melody sped up as she felt a few raindrops.

"Come on, we must get to the house, quickly!" She now practicly ran to to large house and started fumbling with the handle to open up the huge, tall doors. At appearence, the house looked huge, mostly by height, its clay and wood beamed walls streaching to the sky, the height of its doors following, only a few yards short of the buildings height. It looked large enough to hold a giraffe, or, a dragon.

And once they were all inside, it was quite apparent that that was possible, as there stood Kesthir, his three ivory horned heads looking down kindly at the newcomers with a smile, each their own. Two dragons stood at his feet, much smaller than he, but much larger than a horse. Identical in stature, one was jet black, while the other one was as white as snow.

"Hello Kesthir, Etan, Nate." Melody said, smiling. Turning back around, she gently took Amelias hand.
"You look like an able young woman. Come, help me prepare dinner." Seemingly without an answer as she stared at the dragons, Amelia had no choise but to be drug to the kitchen. Meanwhile, The black and white dragons, an identical glint of curiosity in their eyes, sniffed exitedly at the new arrivals, their wings shuffling as they farmiliarized themselves with the high schoolers scents.

Kesthir looked down with all three pairs of eyes, but then lended one head to glare a particularly menacing stare at Conrad, who he seemingly reconized.

Lily looked at the dragon with a mixture of shock and comfort. As Amelia was dragged into the kitchen, Lily shifted uncomfertably. The dragon surveyed them and then fixed its stare onto Conrad. Odd. Lily thought, raising her eyebrows.
"You're Kesthir?" Lily asked, "Then you will be able to tell us what happened to us and where we are."
Lily tried to catch the dragons eyes but it's stare was still on Conrad.

Jani felt hurtt, badly, that Melody didn't remember her, and had dropped back to walk beside Blaine, who now was the one she knew best in that group. When she saw the dragons she smiled.
"You're so beautiful! A real live dragon! Pinch me I must be dreaming! And if so... is teatering between nightmare, and a nice dream," she said, glancing at Melody as she dragged Amelia away to the kitchen.
"I have so many questions.... I bet we all do... like, why doesn't Melody or Conner remember us?"

Blaine was put in a bit of a bad mood, having been forgotten so easily. He thought he was at least a bit more memorabel than that. He glanced over at Louy and saw that she seemed to be feeling the same way. The only difference was that she looked hurt, and Blaine tended to cover up hurt with anger. He scowled the whole way into the house. How could Garret have forgotten him?!

He didn't have much time to consider it, for when they entered they were greeted by the large three headed dragon that had been in the cave- Kesthir, he presumed- and two smaller ones, one black and one white. Blaine's spirits rose a fraction. It was just like some of the epic stories! A real dragon! Then he noticed that for some reason Kesthir was glaring at Conrad. Blaine drew his brows together, puzzled. After a moment he chuckled. He supposed that even after just seeing him once, the dragon would pick up Conrad's negative vibes.

---

Elle shifted from one foot to the other uncomfortably. She once again brought the long, dark hair forward over her shoulder, so that it would partially hide her face. Secretly, she had always wanted to be part of some epic adventure, but now that it seemed that was in one- well, that or a particularly crazy dream- she didn't know what to think. She was so shy and quiet. What use would she be on some adventursome quest?

She stole a peak up at the dragons, awe and fear mixing in her eyes. Kesthir was so huge! And although Etan and Nate were small in comparison, they were still intimidating to behold.

“By god.” Said Conrad quietly, once they entered the room. “What’s this, like the White Hou-“

But his sentence died when he saw the dragon. One awkward, staggering step backward- and he surveyed the length and width of the monster. He swore under his breath, beginning to shake a little- not so much in fear as in shock.

To make matters worse; the beast had its gaze fixed on him. The boy stared back with a insane mixture of horror, repulse, and arrogance. “Son of a...”

But he didn’t finish the swear. Instead he cracked his knuckles, and tried to relax. It was only a dream after all, and a darn bad one at that. I mean, a dragon? Who though up such lame things.

All the same, he didn’t like the way it was looking at him.

"You're dragons," said Merry simply, breaking the uncomfortable silence that followed. She grinned at them, almost entirely without fear of any kind. This was a book. And these dragons obviously meant them no harm. "I had almost thought you did not exist. I'm glad you've proved me wrong."

Kesthir nodded, and in turn, each of his heads spoke to the different people who had spoken, starting with his glaring extremity, who spoke firmly to Conrad,

"It is well met, Mr. Conrad Douglas. But you would do better to keep that string of curses inside your mouth." With that, he stopped glaring and turned to Jani and Lily, "You are in the small town of Vesthian, of the coast of the eastern sea of Esceriol. And Melody and Garret do remember you, but much has happened, and they have simply forgotten. There is little chance of bringing back distant memories, but, we can try." Now he chuckled, the deep rumbling could be felt through the floor as his tall chest vibrated only slightly. "As for the common notion that this is a dream, it is far from it. This is all quite real."

Then he turned a gaze to Merry, a light of happiness in his eyes. "And you, young Merry, I can see adore all things of this world. Namely my kind, I presume?" Without waiting for an answer, he continued, "And I believe that my sons, Etan and Nate, would be more than happy to teach you the sport of Dracofal, if you wish. I think you would enjoy it very much." He smiled as Etan and Nate emedietly turned their attention on Merry. Etan came and lay down on all fours beside her, looking her over from head to toe.

But, a few minutes later, Garret entered the room and anouced that he had prepared the dragons' dinner, and that their quarters were ready. Leaving many wondering just how big their quarters must be to accomodate such massive creatures, three, to be exact, Kesthir and his sons left the room, Nate especially hungry.

Then, as if on cue, Melody leaned into the doorway, flour now covering her hands and some of her face, her hair pulled back into a bun, and the aprin she was wearing covered in who knows what, spoke loudly,

"Dinner is ready! So as long as y'all are done gaping, you may wash up and come to the table for some nice tender beef and a lovely glass of ice tea." As she headed into the kitchen once again, she added: "And hurry up, before it gets cold!"

Arielle, glad for an excuse to turn away from the dragon, let out a sigh of relief. She couldn't decide if she was enjoying this or not. She was leaning towards the 'Not,' but she couldn't deny that it was atleast partially exciting.

Louy's face was stuck in a frown then, she loved to eat, but what the three headed dragon had said about Melody, she wasn't sure she could pull it off. She took off her backpack with a horse on it(that she had been wearing the whole time), and dug through it's many items. She pulled out a silver necklace with a puzzlepiece on it and said "friends". Melody had gotten it for her a few months before she disappeared.

So Louy went up to Melody, and showed her the necklace.
"You gave me this... erm... about two months before you seemed to dissapear. You had one like it, accept the puzzlepiece said "best"." she looked hopeful up at Melody's matured face. Maybe she still had the necklace...

Melody sighed.

"I told you before, I do not know who you are! Now please, seat yourself and eat, before it gets cold."
