she started thinking again. about the sickness. " Brendon...i wanna look for the guy or wait for him...and catch him..and question him to see why he is doing all these things to hurt us. he has to have some sort of answer for the sickness too. becuase..well..everyone knows Shonnalen is almost 30.." she said to him with her back turned twards him. she didn't want to see the pained look on his face when she said something about shonnalen

Brendon handed her some ot the grocerises and said,"I don't blame you for waning to catch him ... I wouldn't kind asking him a few questions myself. " hhe stopped and thought about Shonnalen. "you know... She only has 10 months... " He covered his face with his hand and turned so that his back was to Trudy.

"What if he's just some sick psycho? What if he ... finishes what he started with my parents? What if we catch him and he gets loose in the mall?" He took his hand away from his face and for once pulled off his lether jacket. Only he and Shonnalen knew what had really happened to give him the scar on his right arm.

Bendon turned his hand palm up and looked down at the scar that ran from his wrist to the midpoint of his worer arm. "Broken glass ... " He chuckled sardonicly. "Shonna was bringing me here and he attacked us..." He stopped and let himself remember what had happened.

Shonnalen came down to the kitchen. "Wow ... I can't remember the last time I saw you without that jacket." She teased.

Shonnalen's eyebrows went up. "When di dyou two start shareing a room?" She asked smirking

Brendon turned a few shades of red, then said, "Oh about a year ago... we just hide the fact by getting up and moving in the middle of the night." He stuck his tongue out at his sister.

Ace had been wondering around the mall for the past few hours, thinking about the man that had chased her again, which was the real reason she had ended up here. She had heard Trudy and Brendon talking earlier... she hadn't ment to eaves drop. She ached to tell Shonnalen her secret, since she was the eldest here, but still didn't feel it was safe. She sat down heavily at the top of a flight of stairs, and looked over to see the elevator. She rememberd someone saying it used to work, but no longer did, and she wondered why. The mall had electricity... if it was the motor or the wiring, she could fix that... besides, it would keep her mind off of her own troubbles.
She crawled around the maintnance area of the lift and started poking around. While fiddeling with a few wires she looked up, and felt a sharp zap i nher hand. "E-youch!" she yelped in surprise and jerked her hand away! Well, it wasn't for lac of electricity that it didn't work, that was for sure! She hoped that no one had heard her when she yelped and looked around quickly. Shonnalen, Trudy and Brendon were still in the kitchen area, and it was very possable they had heard her. After a moment, she began working again, mumbeling to herself. "Green wire routs to the main power source, which will be on the roof... must remember to check that out... this red wire will go to the motor... this wire is frayed..." and so she went on for the better part of an hour, re-routing wires, fixing frayed ones, and occasionally zapping herself when her guess of where the wire went was wrong. She'd lost all sence of time, and wasn't paying attention to anything but what was in front of her.

Shonnalen heard a yelp and decided to check it out... she walked over to the stares and sat down to watch as Ace fiddled with the elevator. She was joined shortly thereafter by Brendon who leaned down to ask, "What's she doing?"
Shonnalen looked up at her brother. "I have no idea... lets just watch and find out." Brendon nodded and sat down beside her to observe,

After a while Ace's back began to get stiff, and she staggered to a standing position, and her back cracked. "Ouch.." She looked things over, then headed up to the roof to check the power generater, once again limping. She was there for about 15 minutes, and when she came back down she seemed to look a bit singed...
"Ideotic people who wired this when this place was built HAD to of been blind folded! I swear... either that or color blind! It's a wonder that blasted thing worked at all to begin with!"
She continued muttering things to herself, and her mind drifted as she worked. "They lived... immune?... if they were then I might be... that guy had to of killed them because of it... probably shouldn't of come here... might have put them all here in danger... I guess I won't stay long... I could tell her about it though... but then they might send me to that hospitol..." At this she shuttered. "Blasted needles... bane of mankind... *zap* OUCH! That wire's not red.. it shouldn't do that! Oh... someone color coded it wrong..." And so she continued to mutter to herself.
After a short while more she cleaned out from in and around the lift, making sure everything was oiled, clean and in order to work properly. She hadn't yet put the pannel back on though. Smiling happily, she reached up to push the door button, which would prove if it worked or not.

After hearing the second ZAP shonnalen decided to go down for a closer look. She watched as Ace continued to fiddle around with the wires. Ace wasjust about to press a button when Shonnalen asked, "What are you dong?"

Ace's head jerked up and she reached for her dagger. She only got it half out of it's hiding place in her pocket. *THWACK!* She hit her head on the top of the opened area that she hadn't yet put the pannel on, and saw stars..
"Bloody Mary! OUCH!" She went to stand up quickly, but got dizzy and her vision blanked out for a moment and she fell flat on her rear. "Omph... Ugh! What does it look like I'm doing?! Geeze... don't you know not to sneak up on people like that! Oh ouch..." She took her hand away from the back of her head and it had a small red streak on it. Her dagger fell out the rest of the way from her pocket and she quickly snatched it up and shoved it in her pocket, and very carefully stood up, holding on to the side of the lift with one hand, and holding her head with the other, and glaring at Shonnalen. "What?" She demanded.

Shonnalen quickly blanked her face of any emotion and said, "If I knew what you were doing I wouldn't have asked ... fertmore I didn't sneek up. I have been watching for the past half hour. " She turned to leave and looked back over her shoulder. "I'll get you some ice..." Her eyes sparkled with silent laughter.
