Mai made a small 'o' shape with her mouth and nodded once more, "I wasn't meaning we were, I was just, well..." She trailed off and looked away. It seemed she was making a bit of a fool of herself and decided not to continue.

On the upside, Mai was pretty sure she was still visible as no one had passed any comment. She dug into her pocket and opened a minature compact mirror, just big enough to catch a reflection of something there. Raye eyed her curiously with a look to say "this is hardly the time to be powdering your nose" and she hastily added, "I'm just checking I'm still, well, visible."

"Tai or I will inform you if you become invisible," Raye noted - his tone gradually growing stern.

What a pest... Raye started to think to himself as his mind wandered off but immediately doubted that thought, she could be essential to this mission.

Mai blushed and put the mirror away again, she noted the change of tone in Raye's voice and decided it was best to keep quiet unles she was spoken to for a while. She looked to Tai, but he was looking in another direction and she couldn't catch his eye. So Mai mutely followed the two men in an attempt not to cause any more annoyance.

Brody nodded. "Come on." he grinned and started off through the woods, back the way he came.




Rhys nodded. "Sounds good." he said. "Except..." he trailed off, thinking. <i>The place is full of mutants. They might be able to stop us.</i> he brushed the thought off. <i>They probably don't even know how to use their powers.</i>
"Never mind." he said outloud, and resumed reading the papers.

The class Takeshi was awaiting must of been dismissed now but Yumeko was the last to leave, Takeshi wondering whether she was asked to stay behind by Cassandra.
As Yumeko stumbled out of the classroom, disoriented from the stampede of students, she saw Takeshi and waved at him. Takeshi approvingly nodded to her and gently waved back at her.

"Pierrot," Takeshi called to her, "I need to ask you a favour."
Yumeko, startled by the use of her codename, stepped towards him, "Is it serious?"
"Not quite."
She blinked, startled a bit that Takeshi would call upon her at such an unusual time, "Oh?"

Takeshi grabbed her wrist and pulled her through the turning corriders until the came upon Raye's room.

"I want you to unlock this door with your telekinesis.", he demanded.
"This is Raye's room... I want to respect his privacy."
"He's out. Just unlock it."
"Why?"
"JUST DO IT!"
"Ok... s-s-sorry," Yumeko apoligetically whimpered.
Takeshi sighed, "Sorry. I didn't mean to shout."
Yumeko felt herself shake slightly, Takeshi never seemed angry before. Perhaps annoyed... but never angry.

"Look - you don't have to do it," he told her calmly, the same old Takeshi was still there, it seemed. That glint of serenity was still glazed in his soothing oak eyes.
"I'll do it."
"Are you sure?"
"It's fine. It's just opening a door."
Takeshi flashed her a short-lived smile and stepped back, "Just work your magic, Yumeko."

Yumeko shut her eyes and raised her hand in the air, revealing her black-painted nails which seemed to be bitten to some extent due to her constant nerves. Yumeko concentrated on the room... the door, than the doorknob. The lock. She adjusted the angle of her hand and heard a click.

Takeshi swung the door open and snook in, leaving Yumeko in the corrider - with a dazzled expression.

Takeshi crouched onto the floor and reached for under the bed, his hand felt Raye's laptop but that wasn't what he was looking for. He then grabbed hold of a smooth, pine box with some sort of Japanese kanji embedded into it and pulled it out. He silently opened it and slipped an item which Yumeko couldn't see into his pocket, he then looked up at Yumeko - reliasing she was still there, and obviously thought of what he was going to do.

After a few seconds of consideration he supported himself and stood up, moving towards Yumeko.
"Promise me you won't tell Raye or anyone else about this," Takeshi asked her with a serious tone of voice.
"Of course I won't..."
"Promise!"
Yumeko looked down, guilt weighing down on her, "Tell me what you just took then."
Takeshi shook his head, "I can't."
"Then no deal!", Yumeko growled and turned around to descend down the corrider.
"WAIT!", Takeshi gasped and grabbed her wrist again. He pulled her towards him and added, "You know what? Promise and I'll perhaps arrange a date out in London some evening."
Yumeko glared at him, unamused, "What makes you think-".
"Well, I am psychic," Takeshi raised an eyebrow at her.
"Y-you knew?", Yumeko stuttered, blushing.
"I'll keep it a secret if you swear not to tell anyone."
"I promise. I swear on my life. Whatever.", Yumeko snapped bitterly.
Takeshi gave Yumeko the briefest peck on the cheek and walked towards his bedroom, leaving Yumeko feeling confused, stunned... and manipulated.

(Actually he just saw a crowd and now he's going to see what's going on)
Nick hated crowds. They usually hampered with his shadowmeld since awkward questions often arose when someone ran into him. But luckily he was able to crawl his way around the station until he found the source of attention. A mutant, a girl, was surrounded by armed policemen with two dead people. Nick decided to attempt to help her. He couldn't do anything about the crowd but he could do this. He manipulated the policemen's mind where they thought that there were more targets than there really were.

(Btw, could someone have someone meet Marsia?)

I was cured all right.

Cursing Estelle knelt beside the dead guard. "I'm sorry." she whispered to the prone form. I must learn to control my impulses. she thought bitterly to herself as she looked at bodies of her dead.

"Freeze!" the remaining guard yelled at her, his hands shaking as he held his gun. Estelle rose and slowly turned to face him, her dark eyes bearing into his being. "Are you going to shoot?" she asked quietly. The guard slowly lowered his weapon as he sank to his knees at her feet, weeping. Estelle glanced at him for a moment in pity before she flew back to where she had been sitting just moments before the chaos broke out and began to gather her things.

"Get out of here freak!" one of the passengers yelled. Grabbing her things, Estelle turned sharply in the direction of the cry, her eyes hardening in anger. As if one body, the passengers drew back as she floated to the door and pushed her way out. She studied them icily, as if daring any mortal to stop her. When none did she flew into the open air, taking care to fly at a height high enough where few could see her, as tears of regret fell from her eyes.

Flying for some time, she finally landed in a secluded area in one of the city‘s parks. Dropping her things, she stared emptily into space. What have I done? she thought to herself. Why can’t I do anything right? she thought bitterly as she leaned against a large tree that kept her hidden from view.

Mai looked at Tai, his face relaxed but fixed on the task at hand. She imagined he was talking to the girl he'd found, doing his psychic thing on her. There seemed to be little noise around them, and Raye was looking at Tai in the same curious way as Mai was.

Kaylee felt something hindering her power and spun round, causeing the children to land on the ground with a bone shattering crunch. There, in station; Jackie. Mari liked the girl, but as her powers and Kaylee reminded her; the girl was protecting humans.
She sent a force crashing down the street to Jackie; desingned to knock her to the ground. She motioned a man to her and he came shakeing all the way. "What am i?"
"Your one of those bludy freaks"
"Wrong answer" she clcked her fingers and he fell lifeless to the ground amid screams from the crowd. "I'm a mutant"

Oh dear, Nick thought as one policemen saw him on the roof and trained his gun on them. Apparently they were in a very anti-mutant mood as he began to fire. Nick tried to dodge them as best as one can while on the roof but more policemen came to the view. He manipulated their minds to induce a hallucination where a giant monstrous beast had appeared, away from him.

(ok, just to clarify positioning, Jackie and Mari are near - not in - one train station, which is near the park where Jackie originally was, and Nick is at a completely different station, correct?)

Jackie was flung backwards as Kaylee's force smashed into her, like an invisible truck. She grunted as she hit the ground, feeling the sharp pains of whiplash spear down her neck. It was a minute before she could climb to her feet; enough time for more fatalities to occur. Hang, she was killing people!

The dancer reached for the air again, fighting through the dizzy haze that threatened to engulf her. She found a dust devil spiralling lazily in a back alley and pulled it over, multiplying the rate of rotation by a hundred times, and carefully guided the tornado to envelop Mari, grey with the dirt and grime picked up from the London streets.
