"I'll go.." Josh replied to Fantasia's comment. Indifference was written on his face. He didn't believe the arch to be anything dangerous but even when it was, he didn't really care. With confident steps he walked over to the blue lighted portal. His hand reahed for the surface which seemed cold, like water. Then he looked back at his friends and peeked at Ada while saying: "Well.. bye then.. I guess I'll see you in a minute..?"

Ada nodded, "No doubt you will. Come back and tell us what you find." She said, watching as Josh slipped easily through the blue shimmering surface. No one said a word and they stole glaces at each other every now and again.

Keira raised an eyebrow, what if Josh couldn't come back through, then what?
"See you." Keira smiled encouragingly as she watched him walk through the archway. Her heart beat faster and she looked around at her friends.

Beyond the portal lay an intellegence. Not human, but cold and calculating. It reached to them with its vast intellect and called them to hurry, lest the portal close.

Ada opened her mouth to hesitate, and then nodded, "Ok then." She gave him a small smile and then looked to the others, "Maybe we should all go, save us getting split up?"

Megan glanced back up the path, the way she'd come, and hesitated. "All right," she agreed, slowly and not without a tinge of doubt in her voice. She grinned lopsidedly for a moment, gesturing at the shimmering blue doorway into - what? "After you."

A thought occurred to her and Megan slipped the strap of her camera bag off her shoulder, digging in it for the minute object. "So people will believe us later," she explained with a grin and a shrug, and stepped back to take a picture of Ada and Roxas beside the silvery-blue phenomenon.

"That's a good idea." Ada said, letting Megan take a photo or two. It was quite scary the silence, no one was saying anything and everyone looked edgy. Ada couldn't decide whether she really wanted to go through or not; her logical mind said to stay but her adventurous mind said to go. She felt Roxas squeeze her hand slightly and together they slipped through the cool, water-like surface with ease, into somewhere really quite different.

Fantasia didn't want to go ... she was more then content to wait, just not by herself. If the others walked through that portal she would follow.

Michael flew over the castle battlements. He loved his job and would not have given up his wings for any reason. He saw a flash in the forest not far from the border and decided to check it out. With a mighty flap of his feathery wings he was headed in that direction.

Josh felt like he was falling, the feeling of falling like when you're in a roller coaster. But when he realised that he couldn't be falling his feet stood on solid ground again. His knees were shaking and he thought that he heard his own heart beating. Carefully Josh looked around: at first sight it seemed like he was in just the same place as he'd been a few seconds ago, but his friends were gone.. Was this a joke? Were they joking around with him again? But then he noticed that the sun was shining and the sky was completely blue while it had been clouded all day. The air smelled sweet and the trees were greener than usual. Josh looked around in amazement: perhaps this wasn't a joke after all..

Ada felt herself plunged downwards, and she gripped Roxas' hand tighter. Within seconds they had landed on firm ground again and they both stumbled to their feet, looking around. The sky was a brilliant blue here, and everything seemed much more vivid. Colours sprang out at her from every angle and it seemed sharper to the eye. She looked to Roxas, who seemed equally awe-struck, and then gazed ahead once more. A little way away there was a familiar site - Josh

Vanya circled the castle, breathing in the freshness of the day. She loved feeling the warmth of the sun against her skin and the wind running through her hair. Her white gown billowed in the breeze and for a brief moment all the world seemed to be at peace. Suddenly a flash of light drew her attention in the direction of the forest and she saw Michael flying towards it. Without a second thought she quickly flew to catch up with male angel.

The intellegence noted the prescence of the humans. It cried out, "Come to me!" with a force that might've crushed one with a weak mind.

Keira plunged into the archway. She felt an odd sensation before ending up on the other side. The new world was brilliantly bright and clear.
"Josh!" She cried estatic. She ran over to him and hugged him, "What if something went wrong?"
Keira looked around her friends to make sure no one was mission or damaged in any way.

Fantasia could stand it no longer she stepped past the others and through the arch. For a brief moment she felt as if she were falling, then she landed hard and lost her balance sprawling in the leaves on the ground. She scrambled up quickly looking around wide eyed.

Michael stopped and hovered above the trees just before a large clearing where a portal stood. He watched grimly as a girl face planted on the forest floor. He looked over his shoulder at the sound of wings and saw Vanya. Who do you supose they are? He asked.

Fantasia had the sudden urge to walk and she followed the calling. She stopped at the edge of a road and looked around. A strange looking rock caught her attention. it seamed so out of place in the beauty that surrounded it. She picked it up and placed it in her pocket without thinking, then headed back toward the others.

In its prison the mind relaxed. Its mind reached out to Fantasia and sent her the message, "Good, don't leave me."

Vanya flew up to Michael, floating beside him. I am not sure. she replied. But she must be here for a reason. We should keep an eye on her. she remarked. For good or ill, I sense there is something about her. She paused then as she watched the girl's motions from where she was. I wonder if there are others. she mused more to herself.
