Will lead Drew to the dance floor. His hands were sweating. He just could not help it. He did not think of himself as a good dancer. Then again Drew was shaking and so obviously nervous as well. So perhaps they would be okay. Will and Drew turned on their ipods (so as not to annoy anyone else with their choice of music) and the song Power of Love by Celion deon (Sorry if I spelled that incorrectly) began to play. Will put one of his hands on Drew's waist and the other on her shoulder. The two began to dance. "You are a very good dancer, William", drew said. Will's eyes lite up and a smile spread across his face. Will then shouted to Haldir, "Dance with Haldir at the disco. Dude if I can do this anyone can". Drew turned Will's head to face her again and the two of them continued to dance...

Poppy and Edward joined the nervous Will and Drew on the dance floor. Edward, being the amazingly graceful being that he was, glided around, leading Poppy in an almost waltz-like dance. "Isn't this a little formal?" Poppy giggled as the spun past Drew and Will.

Elenriel and Legolas walked to where a group had begun dancing.

"May I have this dance, my lady?" he asked with a bow.

"Certainly, dear prince." Elenriel responded with a curtsy. With that he took her hand and led her to where both Drew and Will, and Poppy and Edward were dancing. Elenriel gave a smile of greeting as she and Legolas began to dance gracefully to the music.

Daisy smoothed her dress, lamenting at the moment that she hadn't asked Mat to join her for this ball. But he was busy with his soldiering, so Daisy banished the thought from her mind. She smiled watching the three couples on the dance floor, moving with various degrees of smoothness. Elen and Legolas, being the gorgeous elves that they were, didn't appear to be dancing, they were gliding. Poppy seemed slightly off balance, but her partner more than made up for the pair. Will and DD seemed oblivious to anything other than themselves, and didn't seem to move at all.

Daisy jumped as she felt a hand on her shoulder, and turned to look at the young hobbit beside her. "Would you like to dance with me?" the hobbit asked.
"You bet!" Daisy exclaimed as she jumped off her bench. "What's your name? I'm Daisy," she continued as they headed to the floor --er, grass.
"Lath Brandybuck. Cousin of Merry - you know him, I saw you talking earlier. You seemed nice, so I figured you wouldn't mind dancing."
"Oh, no! I love to dance. Thank you for asking." She smiled at Lath.

One final sweep around the dance floor and Daerka was left completely breathless. Hobbits really did know how to dance! She slipped out of the weaving couples to watch from the sidelines as many of her friends, accompanied by fine lads of all sizes, did a light waltz about the field. It was getting late, and the sun had set long ago. Stifling a yawn, Daerka decided she'd turn in for the night at a local inn and return in the morning for more festivities.

Haldir sent a glare at Will. The fact he was being ordered by another to dance infront of others only made him feel a little more uncomfortable. If he were to dance, it would be in private and completely out of eyeshot. He sat unmoved for several long moments and looked at Myrtle. He finally swallowed his pride and rose to his feet. "Would you care to dance my lady?" he asked reaching a hand down to his wife. Myrtle smiled. "Of course," she answered and reached for his hand and stood up. The two walked out onto the dance floor and began to slowly, yet gracefully dance.

Daisy had to stop. Her head was spinning and her feet were killing her, but she was loving every minute. Unfortunately, she knew she wanted sleep for the next big day. Yawning into her hand, she thanked Lath again for the wonderful dancing and wandered off the green in search of a bath and a comfy bed.

(Haldir at the disco, Yep ipods... have some funny ideas. lol However seeing as that song would have bothered you and Haldir (and possabley other guests as well) but not me and Will the ipods seem to work allright. lol)

Drew and Will smiled as Poppy and Edward glided by them on the dance floor. "They really are quite graceful", Drew remarked. "Indeed", Will said. However Will was busy looking at his feet...trying his best to get the hang of dancing. "Wow they really good too", Drew near shouted when Legolas and Elenriel Greenleaf passed by them. At that moment Will looked up from the floor and nodded his head in agreement.
Will noticed Haldir sending him what looked like a death glare. He just raised his eyebrows and then returned to being lost in his date's eyes. He did turn to give Haldir an apporving smile and a nod though when he and Haldir at then disco got on the dance floor. Will went step to the right and stepped on Drew's foot. "Ow", Drew shrieked. "Sorry. I am so sorry, Dear. I..." Will tried. "It is quite allright. I am fine" Drew interrupted him. Will spun Drew around and then dipped her. Drew giggled. "I may not be able to glide across the floor but I can do a few dance moves". Drew smiled up at Will.

Elenriel smiled as Poppy and Edward glided along the dancefloor. Her smile widened as she saw Haldir and Myrtle join them and Will dip Drew. "It seems we have quite a group here." Elenriel remarked as Legolas twirled her.

"Indeed we have." Legolas replied as he glanced around at the other couples before returning his gaze to her, his deep blue eyes holding her own.

Haldir's face flushed with embarrassment as others on the dance floor glanced over at him and Myrtle. "Pay no attention to them," Myrtle whispered. "Just pretend they are not here." She quickly regretted saying that. Haldir was not really the best at trying to pretend someone wasn't around. Haldir said nothing as he pulled his wife closer to him as they continued to dance, almost as if he was trying to act like he was not embarrassed to act in such a way in front of others.

As the slow waltz came to an end another merry tune was struck up. Dodging someones arm as hobbits flew past her in a blur Daerka ducked into the crowd and linked arms into the group. She loved the faster dances. It was always great fun to dance as a group.

Elenriel giggled slightly as the merry tune was struck and she and Legolas increased their pace to keep time with the beat. After the dance ended, the two left the dance floor and headed to the Party Tree.

As a merrier tune began to play, Haldir looked down at his wife smiling lightly and nodded as if he were silently answering a question. He released her from his arms then stood off to the side as she walked to the center of the dance floor and began to dance solo. Haldir actually enjoyed watching his wife jump, spin and twirl. It put a smile on his face.

Soon, everyone was caught up in the frenzy of the faster more exciting dance. As a large spinning circle of dancing hobbits was formed, Primula became even more excited but, and spotted Daerka across from her. She contuniued dancing and laughing with the rest...

(Sorry I was unable to be here most of yesterday. Something unexpected came up.)

Will and Drew returned Elenriel Greenleaf's smile. Will and Drew's ipod's soon stopped playing and they reuturned them to their pockets. As the more fast paced tune started up, Will and Drew began to do a more fast paced dance. However Will was truely struggling with that. In fact he stepped on Drew's foot repeatedly and came inch from bumping into Haldir. "Sorry", Will kept mumbling as he tried to keep up with the sound of the music and Drew's quicker pace. Will's face gained a decided look, as he took hold of both of Drew's hands. He they began to spin around until both fell onto the ground giggling. Will and Drew got up and out of the way of their fellow AU dancers. Will blushed, "Well that was a stupid idea on my part". Drew did not answer him though she was too busy laughing. "Yes well, I believe that we are going to head over to the swimming hole in a few minutes. So if anyone else cares to join us, you are more than welcome to", Will said as he took Drew's arm to lead her to the swimming hole...

The group had discussed their plan the night before at Bag End. They had all decided that waiting until the last day would be the best, and Gandalf should not have noticed that any of his fireworks were missing (to comfort Sam). They all buzzed by the Kins table and grabbed something to eat, and now they all had arrived at the main dance center.

Hearing the music that was playing, the whole group had started to join in the main dance. Frodo, Merry, Pippin, and Sam each took their turn in dancing with Prisca and Goldie (the benefit of coming in a group).
