Brendon place his hand against her cheek. "You're at the hospital. If I haddn't have brought you, you may not have lived, you lost alot of blood so just rest."

Anger briefly flashed in Brendon's eyes and he said,"He ran..." He looked up to see his sister slumped against the wall. "Trudy... I'll be right back... Shonnalen!!!" He called racing for the door.

Bret came hurrying in, holding some pills in his hands. "Hey Trudy, just take it easy." he said, handing her two of the pills and a cup of water. "These'll help with the pain."

Shonnalen didn't respond when Brendon called her name, and he carefully lifted her from where she lay. He carried her into the lad where he lay her down on the other streacher that was already there.

"I don't know." Bret answered Trudy. He saw Brendon putting Shonnalen on a stretcher, and hurried over. "What happened?" he asked, helping him wheel the stretcher closer to Trudy's.

"I don't know... "Brendon said. "I looked up and she was slumped against the wall out there in the lobby. She starting to feel a little warm too, she might have a fever." Brendon was clearly worried about her. He walked over to Trudy. "Hey sorry about that." He tried to smile but it didn't really work.

Bret felt Shonna's forehead- it was feeling warm. He turned to go into one of the back rooms where there was a stash of medical supplies. "Brendon," he said, "could you try and find out any symptoms she has?"
Treating symptoms was about all he could do right now, unless Ace truly did hold the key to the aging sickness.

"She's been having headaches really bad lately... but that's about it... this is the worst I have seen it so far." Brendon said turning to face Bret.

Bret bit his lip, then turned, hoping no one had seen his worry. He went into a back room, then returned with a bottle of medicine. "These should help with headaches." he said to Shonna. "Take one every four hours."

He picked up one of the sryinges full of Ace's blood. "I need to start running some tests on this. Will you all be ok out here?"

Brendon took the medicing Bret brought for Shonnalen and slid it into his pocket. He was not going to loose his sister ... not now... not when they needed her so much.

Brendon walked over and started to pull off her jacket and shoes. He didn't need her getting over heated. As he did he noticed a red angry looking mark on her shoulder. "Hey Bret... before you go ... come tell me what this looks like..." He said indecating the spot.
