Just became a college freshman; be on sparingly

I would like to try and start this on either Monday/Tuesday. I would perfer a few more detectives, but they aren't mandatory. We don't direly need an Eric right now, but we will definetly need him later. Basically, we have enough to start.... but not end.

Also, when starting, I am going to be mainly with the detectives giving a brief interview right before they search the site. The main character (excluding mine) you all know each other... so you would do what people would normal do when someone dies. Just, Clara can't be buried yet... it's only been one day.

Ted Elgeston furiously barged into his office and sat down at his desk. This was not the day for him to start a murder case. His wife had hit the button again last night. She told Ted how annoyed she was of him not doing this and not doing that to only head right back into unresolved segments of his childhood.

Plopping himself in the chair, Ted Elgeston through down the file on his desk and stared into the ever-astounished eyes of one of his employees. "Hard night. Less than 4 hours of sleep," Ted explained to his employee, reassuring him it wasn't his fault, "and now there is a murder case. It might as well be raining cats and dogs outside. Life is going bad enough already; we really need some rain to set the stage."

Ted Elgeston opened the murder file and stared into the documents with a "I'd rather be..." expression on his face. "Clara Melvin, wife of the millionare Richard Melvin was murdered last night," he recited, "she drove off of the road, down a cliff, ran into a tree, and was shot. It sounds like someone had a worse night than I had... how hard that is to believe. What do you think of it, Scott?"

Scott, his blond shaggy hair covering his dark blue eyes, flipped his hair and rubbed his fingers through it. He looked at his new boss, and glanced around the room. He sighed heavily.

"It does sound like a tough night, sir." Scott said, thinking through his words. "I wouldn't want to be dealing with it in my family, myself."

"I was more talking about the murder case," Ted told Scott, impulsively irritated with the hand fling, "But, I thank you for your comment on my situation. Life is rough; you will learn that one day, especially from being a detective. You will, then, learn that a lot. Now, I'll repeat, what do you think of the murder case?"

Embarassed, Ted quickly tried to move the conversation forward, "I see.." Biting his lip, Ted took his shoes from off of his desk and muffled through the file again. "We need to go to the scene," he exclaimed soon after, "this file has next to nothing besides past history and all. Why can't they just tell us the answer and have us all be done with it?"

Logan Sheffield muttered to himself as he took the office stairs two at a time. Late again! He just couldn't seem to wake up when he needed too. A yawn broke the string of berating words. Still moving at full speed, Logan burst through Ted's door to see Ted rifling though papers and Scott looking slightly puzzled.
"Sorry I'm late," Logan panted. "Uh...bit of a late start. What'd I miss?"
