"Suiliad? Who is it that calls?" said a hooded and cloaked figure with an old raspy voice. "What is thy business here?" the figure said again...

"Speak in a tongue we can all understand!" said the hooded woman frustratedly... she walked over to the two elves, though she seemed bent with age she was not much shorter than either of the elves....

"Speak in a tongue we can all understand!" came a voice up ahead. The sound drifted into a hooded elf aboard a white stallion, who shook his grey mane faintly, as the sudden noise startled him. Anariel Narie was the elf's name, and Arod was her horse.
"Wonder what all the ruckus is about," Anariel muttered softly, bringing Arod to a halt as she gazed in the direction the words came.
I don't know, but whoever it is, tell them to shut up... they've broken the peace and quiet, they have... the horse replied through mind-speech, or telepathy, in a scornful tone, his ears laid back against his head.
Anariel laughed quietly at Arod's words, and urged the horse into a canter toward the voices. She stopped him in the shadows, waiting to see if she would be noticed, her dark scarlet hood casting a shadow over her elegant elven features. Arod sniffed at the air, raising his head slightly as he did so, sniffing out for the scents of the strangers.
What do you smell, Arod? Can you tell if they're safe?
They smell all right... seems like... two elves, and a human, but I'm not entirely sure, the horse replied, lowering his head again, ...want to go check it out?
All right... but be ready to run, as always. Anariel replied, gathering the reins once again.
And you ready to battle, my elven friend.
The horse and rider stepped from their hiding places, riding toward the group of three.
"Greetings and well met, my friends," she said out loud, bringing Arod to a halt a safe distance away, "What brings you here?"

Lady Arwen leapt to her feet, drawing an arrow and fitting it into her bow in one rapid movement at the disturbance. When she saw the cause of the disturbance, she sighed, she replaced the swan-feather tipped arrow in its quiver and mounted her steed. She mentally chatised herself for allowing herself to fall asleep. The wind shifted, and the scent of men drifted towards her. Men had always made her uneasy. She much prefered her own kin, although she had nothing against men. But at times they did not understand her speech. She rode up a little farther and noticed Anariel upon Arod.
"A beautiful steed, my lady." she said, her keen eyes surveying the horse and rider.

A hooded figure appeared at a window overlooking the scene below.
What is going on?, she thought. Who is that woman?

Almost feeling the presence of another, Arwen glanced up. She smiled and nodded her head in greeting.

The woman pulled back her hood. She smiled and nodded at Arwen.

Arwen leisurely strolled about before joining the woman she had seen above her. "Mae govannen. (Well met) Im Arwen. (I am Arwen.)" she said with a slight smile.

The woman nodded and smiled in reply. "I am Elwing," she said softly.

"What is going on here?"Elwing asked with a confused look on her face. Who is that woman on the horse, and what is she doing here? I do not object to her presence here," she added quickly, not wanting to offend the woman.
