Theoden was also really cool. To come form being a dotard for years to defeating Saruman tyo leadingn the greatest host of Rohirrim since Eorl The Young at celebrant. For me his death mourns itself. His deeds were a worthy remembrance for any man lol.

Cedric-definetly. Poor guy...he was just in the wrong place at the wrong time! WHY JK? Why did you do it?? Oh man, when Voldemort puts his foot on Cedrics face..... :explode:
And as soon as the band starts playing..everyone's so happy-then they figure it out. And Harry is just lying over the body, protecting it..I'm gonna cry now.

Lol, I want to join.

I haven't read the HP books, because I don't think they'd be worth it, and I've only seen the first two movies, so I won't be mourning any characters from that series.

I definitely did mourn the death of one of my favorite characters in the Star Wars novels, though. When Anakin (Solo) died, that was awful. Caught me completely by surprise. Though, I do tend to like it when the main characters die in a blaze of glory. Has anyone else here read that book (Star by Star)?

When Boromir and Theoden died, that got to me, too (characters that die usually end up being my favorites).

Both of those two people are mourned because they died heroically. One person I do not mourn is Salgant of Gondolin. Those of yuo who havent the lost tales books, at the battle for Gondolin, Salgant was a coward and when eh was meant to be in battle he was cowering in his bed.I think he died or became morgoths jester. I do not mourn his fate, he was despicable and it wasnt an undeserved fate.
Thats what I think lol, feel free to argue with it if u like.

May I join? I hated it when Brom died in Eragon, and Cedric die in HP.

I believe that the Grey Havens is also a way of dieing... Gandalf described that when you died.. you would go to white shores. Isn't that like what the elves are heading towards? So, in essence, Frodo died without the physical pains of it.

I don't typically watch movies where characters die in them.. so I can think of a very few amount of people.

The newest one that comes to mind in the king in Shrek. It was funny when he died, and the funeral, but he was still a loving father.
