Overhearing, Nieva agreed that the trick was fairly cool, in a way, but told Neal that she still did not wish to let go just yet after Neal's unboarding of the dirt bike.

"Am I a good enough fight for you yet?" she asked, taking a small flashlight from her pocket. She clicked it on, then stepped foot in the cave.

Cloud stopped her dirt-bike by Rain's.
"Okay, you've found it good. Now I have to get back to work," she said sheepishly, then drove off in the direction they had come...

"I never said that," Don told Rain as he followed right before her in the cave, "I only said you were strong. I never told you that you were strong enough to defeat... ego boy."

Electra rolled her eyes at the banter between the two, almost thinking they sounded like brother and sister or boyfriend and girlfriend. Parking the vehicle next to the others, she quickly followed Don and Rain into the cave.

Rain gritted her teeth. She really felt like slugging him in the chest. That would have felt good, but decided against it.
"I'll show you... one day," she said, "but now... all of us should just concentrate on the tast at hand..." Though I don't trust him, she thought.
I trust him! her dragon chimed in her head. Though, of course you wouldn't trust him after what happened at the dead people's place.
Oh, quiet.

Flame made a wierd noise and Airithnu looked down to see that it was Flame's laughter.

What are you laughing at? She asked him. Who are laughing, right?

Flame nodded. It's nothing. He said simply and she sighed and whistled softly, calling Silver and commanding him to stay behind her.

Rain continued into the cave, soon she came to a huge cavern about four stories high, and the size of a foot-ball field. Along all the walls were many smaller passages than the one they had entered though. Rain put the end of her flashlight in her mouth as she took a piece of paper from her pocket, and unfolded it. She could just barely make out the lines on the yellowing piece of parchment.

She took the flashlight out of her mouth, holding it in one hand, while holding the paper in the other.
"That passage goes to an under-water river and lake," she pointed with the flashlight. "Those nine passages go off to the labranth of tunnels. The rest... turn off into seperate rooms," she explained...

Why don't you tell her then? Night asked.

Because, Don explained, that would make me have some sort of kindness in myself which I am not allowed to have.

Night only shook his head at Don's comment and continued to follow closely behind him.

Truly amazing, Nieva answered back, even though it is underground with the bug and rodents and disease.

Come on... Neal told Nieva, lighten up, for once.

I think I will choose to stay dark.

Suit yourself. Neal finished the conversation and proceeded to walk into the main room while gazing, mouth open, at the openess an underground room was able to contain.

"This place could have been here for centeries. Who knows?" Rain answered Airithnu's question. "I used to hang out here all the time as a kid. Anyway, the labrynth goes for miles and miles. Cloud has a proper map back at her place, but I didn't have time to grab it."

Don was growing irritated with this whole lovey-dovey conversation. The place was cool. He would give it that, but it was nothing more than that, and this conversation should have ended ages ago, in Don's opinion.

"Little Missy," he finally directed at Rain in hopes of being able to stop the annoyance of how people loved this place, "When are we going to start?"
