"My my ... look whow turning out to be trusting of me..." Cloudya said teasingly. "When you first cam here you didn't trust me or Altadon." She smiled and unbandaged his hands slowly.
The blisters and swelling had healed nicely leaving only new pink skin where the burns had been. "There you see... What did I tell you. As good as new." She brought his hand up holding it to her cheek. She smiled and closed her eyes enjoying his touch.

Darren grined. " well at first i didn't love you." he kissed her. " but now i do." he said chuckling a bit.

After Meriana and the gang had eaten Meriana decided to take a walk. she walked among the forest, she crept back to the old meadow just to take another look at it. when she was just about to peek out of the trees that surounded it she heard some men yelling. they were yelling Darren's name. she gasped but claped her hand over mouth before they could hear her gasp. she ran back home as fast as she could, she went straight to Gold Dusk. she beat on the door and fineally just ran inside. she ran straight to his room and opend it. " GOLD DUSK theres m-men back at the old meadow coming this way and ther're looking for Darren?" she said out of breath. you could tell she had been in the woods and running, there were twigs and thorns all in her hair.

Gold Dusk grabbed a horn from a shelf in his room, grabbed Meriana by the hand and pulled her fromt he hut out into the forest. He headed for dragon's lake. Once at the base of the lake He blew a oud note on his horn.

Altadon's head came up with a start as he heard the horn. He stuck his nose in Cloudya's doorway pulling her from her contemplation of Darren's kiss. "Bonded ... we have company!!!"

Cloudya looked at Darren and said, "I have to go... Will youfly with me this time?" She asked searching his face.

Meriana was out of breath by the time they got there and almost fainted but triped insted. she got up really fast and brushed herself off.

"Tradders..." Cloudya said as she rummaged around in a trunk that sat at the end of her bed. "She pulled out another set of flying furs and handed them to Darren."Put these on they'll keep you warm as we fly." She dissapeared behind her curtain returning a moment later dressed in her flying furs. She was buckaling a sword belt round her waist.
Cloudya glanced up at him. "Get dressed ... I'm going to saddle Altadon." She stepped out into the larger cave.

Darren quickly got dressed. the things were a little snug on him but they fit. he walked out to where Cloudya and Altadon were.

Meriana could see them getting ready, she saw darren walk out and get on after Cloudya did. " no he cant come they'll know he's with us." she said as she looked at Gold Dusk worried for her family and all that was dear to her, she would not have another battle like last time.

Cloudya looked him over once before she climbed onto Altadon's back. "Can you wield a blade?" She asked. Her blue/green eyes blank of any emotion.

Gold Dusk looked at Meriana. "So wht if he comes? For all they know he found his way up to Dragon's Peak all by himself. Lat him come if he wants, he can explain it to them."

Cloudya presented Darren with a sword of stunning craftsmanship. "You can thank me later right now we ride." She waited till he had strapped himself to the saddle before giving Altadon te signal to fly.

Altadon dove from the cliff, then opened his wings with a snap that sent him soreing into the darkning heavens. "Hang on!" Cloudya managed to shout to Darren just before Altadon took fight.

Meriana watched them take off. she looked at Gold Dusk. " come on..we can meet them at the meadow." she siad as she pulled him as she ran.

Altadon circled the medow a few times, his large shadow on the ground catching the men's attention.

Gold Dusk finally found his stride and kept pace with Meriana as the headed toward the medow.

Meriana stoped a little bit before they got there. she put her finger to her lips and walked quietly twards the meadow. she pulled out her bow and arrow quietly and hid in the trees.

the men looked up as the shadow was cast overhead. they all laughed and pulled out their tools.
one of the men, who happend to be Darren's father had a spy glass and pointed it at the dragon. he spoted his son and a woman. " men, that dragon has my son and a woman captured, shoot it down!!" he comanded. the men got their gear ready.

Meriana looked over at Gold Dusk. " should i shoot?" she asked softly so they wouldnt hear her.
